Wikipedia talk:Requests for arbitration/Lance6wins

I am unclear on how Lance is doing on WP now, but my impression is that he was sincere in engaging Wikien for counsel, and responsive to the points raised there. I and others discussed with him at length the issue of POV terms, and some of us expressed a conclusion that problems with the use of particular terms are a more general issue. Lance must account for his specific actions, but could be dealt with as a matter of general policy; added to WP:NPOV pov, under a treatment of terms and their acceptable use, in proper context. Terms like murder and terrorist have a proper place for describing the POV interpretations of events, but cant be considered NPOV for general usage. -SV 23:53, 9 Aug 2004 (UTC)
