[edit] Statement by Outside party Swatjester
It should be noted by the arbitration committee that I recently attempted to mediate a revert/POV pushing attempt by SpinyNorman against SlimVirgin on the Animal Liberation Front page, to no avail. I make no claim to being a party to the dispute over S2000, merely asserting that SpinyNorman has a history of trying to influence articles with his POV through reverts. ⇒ SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 08:59, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

I would strongly urge the ArbCom to accept this arbitration to focus on SpinyNorman's problems. As a glance at his talk page will show he has been a repeatedly problematic editor. Furthermore, he his blocklog shows four 3RRV blocks since May 22. He has recently engaged in further tendentious and problematic editing, such as at Matthew Shepard where he is edit-warring against the inclusion of the category Hate crime and similar editing An Inconvenient Truth. I believe that I qualify as an outside party. I'm new to Wiki and was interested in becoming an editor on the S2000 page. It first appeared to me that the user SpinyNorman was involved in some sort of personal crusade against a car. Silly as that would be. But apparently he is making touble for numerous Wiki members on numerous pages. On a forum he would be considered a troll. That is someone who makes trouble and disagrees just for the personal attention it brings. This type of person is damaging to the Wiki comunity as a whole. __redruM RedruM 00:57, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Statement by Addhoc
My involvement with SN has been in connection with the HondaS2000 article, where his conduct has been helpful and cooperative. Personally, I consider the table he has created to constitute original research. Also I think we probably only require a sentence explaining the over steer problem, followed by another sentence explaining the less than perfect fix that Honda implemented. However, I am concerned at the intensity of criticism about his conduct, which is largely concerned with adding relevant information with appropriate secondary references to this article. In my view his adding relevant sourced information should not be punished. In fact, this conduct should mitigate any punishment for past incivility. Addhoc 13:38, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
