Why are five votes a majority and not three? BhaiSaab talk 06:40, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Because there are 14 arbitrators, 5 are inactive and 1 recused leaving 8 active to vote. Half of 8 is 4 but a 4-4 vote would be a tie so the majority is 5. Thatcher131 12:10, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Oh ok. I thought there were a total of 10 or 11 arbitrators. BhaiSaab talk 16:49, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Why is this taking forever? BhaiSaab talk 05:57, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

I'm wondering if most of the arbcom actually looks at the evidence page, or just looks at what is going on in this proposed decision page. BhaiSaab talk 00:38, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
