Wikipedia talk:Requests for arbitration/GRider/Proposed decision

Since all of the disruption seems to have occurred on VfD, and since [1] suggests the disruption is ongoing, I request a temporary injunction barring GRider from VfD. Snowspinner 23:11, Mar 28, 2005 (UTC)

Anything that would induce him to stop persisting in his divisive practices and actually make an effort to justify his conduct before the ArbCom is a good idea. Slac speak up! 23:22, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC)
What about soliciting for VfD votes? Would that be considered "deletion-related?" Slac speak up! 00:10, 29 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Agree. This should extend to things like the AIW page on meta, and any kind of campaign on user talk pages and the like. Chris 19:09, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed remedies

1.1 and 1.2 appear to be identical. I presume that this is not accidental duplication as Grunt has put a comment indicating that he supports it only if neither 1 or 1.1 pass. Thryduulf 17:48, 3 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • The period of time differs. Radiant_* 13:34, Apr 4, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Solicitation of Votes.

I really don't see whats wrong with Grider maintaining a schoolwatch page, or the AIW keeping each other informed of votes of interest to inclusionists.

My understanding is the the purpose of VfD is to establish a consensus among interested parties about if a page should be kept. Grider is merely increasing the number of interested parties.

[edit] Nazis

This may be largely irrelevant to the greater picture, but would it be possible to have GRider change his rather offensive user page (with comparisons to nazis and book burning), on grounds of Wikiquette and No personal attacks? Radiant_* 10:08, Apr 5, 2005 (UTC)
