- While not directly involved in this particular dispute, I'd like to add that CoolKatt number 99999 has, on at least one occasion, been cited for adding unverified information to Wikipedia. A separate Request for Investigation was filed[1] in regards to his additions to the page for the Arkansas Educational Television Network[2], and he was subsqeuently warned. In addition to the comment Lambertman pointed out, CoolKatt number 99999 also tried to justify that his call letter meanings were correct because "Maybe because those files were destroyed?"[3], even though there are no sources to support that. I also question the validity of the user's sub-pages with "Alternate" histories for television stations (WDAF-TV [4], for example) - although said articles are clearly marked as fictional, they also show up in Google searches for the subjects. I have had only minimal personal contact with the user, but I will say that I find his editing methods questionable at best. Amnewsboy 22:33, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- As a follow-up, CoolKatt number 99999 was blocked for 24 hours on July 19 for further violations of WP:V, then for a further 48 hours for violating it again [5]. Amnewsboy 06:37, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- A further follow-up: CoolKatt number 99999 filed what I believe is a frivilous RfC[6] in regards to this matter. I would reiterate that his own actions prompted his subsequent blocking and that I think he really needs to learn more about WP:V and other related policies before being allowed to edit again. After seeing how CoolKatt number 99999 reacts to direction from admins and even the ArbCom, I think a long-term block for him should be considered. Unblocking him doesn't seem to do any good; he simply reverts to his old ways as soon as the block is lifted.
I don't believe he respects his fellow editors; he seems to believe that his edits are the only ones that matter, and that any edits that don't jibe with his thinking are "bad". WP:OWN says "You agreed to allow others to modify your work here. So let them."; simply put, he won't let us.
His defense seems to be "I'm trying to make things better" and "____ is being uncivil/stalking"; neither one of which address what I feel is the main problem -- CK refuses to abide by policy unless it suits his purpose. I think it's rather telling that, when unblocked to participate in this hearing, he used that time to edit articles (in violation of the ArbCom order) instead of posting solid evidence on his own behalf.
In short, I do not believe a short term punishment would work for CoolKatt number 99999. I think a mentorship would be useful to him; however, I fear that his belligerent behavior would make that option a waste of time for MENTCOM and all parties involved. Amnewsboy 09:46, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

- Note that Jose is Fluid and Rekarb Bob are, in my considered opinion, both sockpuppets of the same serial master. Both have been blocked. See Category:Suspected Wikipedia sockpuppets of Spotteddogsdotorg. To a puppet, they have been used to mislead, and not merely to edit benignly. -Splash - tk 19:20, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
I am not directly involved, but I found this when I was going through the editing history of User:CFIF and he seems to be a problem user himself and may have blame. He with the help of his administrator friend User:Splash, get people banned for not thinking like him. I felt some of his articles should be deleted and then he marks me as a sockpuppet of User:Spotteddogsdotorg. I have made a request that both of them be investigated on the Wikipedia:Requests for investigation page, since I am not the only person who has been the victim of these unfounded accusations. I have also looked at User:CoolKatt number 99999 and he also seems to be a problem user as well. José is Fluid 16:01, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Comment by Morgan Wick (talk · contribs)
When I first encountered CoolKatt, I was a bit surprised at the level to which he was opposed, and I thought the RfC against him had spurious grounds. I even attempted to defuse the level of vitriol against him by pointing out that he has made constructive edits. But recently, he seems to have gone off the deep end. He has forgotten how to be civil, and has repeatedly claimed his contributions are "useful" without explaining how in the face of people trying to tell him they violate numerous Wikipedia policies. He has taken to violating WP:OWN in relentlessly trying to defend his versions of articles, getting involved in numerous edit wars. He has filed RfC's left and right, including one against A Man In Black (talk · contribs) for daring to oppose him on an AfD, and seems to be using RfC as a way to intimidate or get back at people who disagree with him [7], which is an abuse of RfC, and which isn't working, since not one of his RfC's has been certified. As noted earlier, he has accused people of sockpuppetry for disagreeing with him as well. He seems to have some paranoid tendencies, and his dealings with the Wikipedia community is starting to test even my patience. Morgan Wick 05:32, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

He has accused me of being a sockpuppet of Buckner 1986, apparently one of his . but this request of his is more of his systemic abuse by using the tools used to report legitmate vandals who have in his eyes gone against him. He makes nonsense edits, adds false information to articles, accuses people of being sockpuppets if they oppose him, violates [{WP:OWN]], is abusive to others, accuses those who revert his edits of Wikipedia:Harassment, complains to admins about others and still continues his behavior, and please see: Wikipedia:Requests for comment/CoolKatt number 99999 for more views on this problem user. He needs to be stopped.

And this nonsense article, which thankfully is going through an AFD right now:
- The Great Network Switch
Plus he has added all sorts of speculation, mostly regarding TV station call sign meaning, to many articles. I have to ask, why hasn't definitive action been taken against this user?
- Comment This user might not be clean himself, as he is now blocked as a sockpuppet of User:Spotteddogsdotorg, probably for his delete vote in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Angela Russell (second nomination). Personally, I suspect this block might be a rouge admin at work, but it is definitely worth considering. Morgan Wick 07:59, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Comment by TrackerTV
CoolKatt is not offensive, at least to me. When I politely asked if he wanted me to take his subpages, he politely went on my talk page and declined. Now, is that better to see than all this bad stuff? Yes. -TrackerTV 18:15, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Unfortunately yours is an isolated incident. He lashes out at anyone that even remotely disagrees with him as was evidenced by my first encounter with him. He's been doing this for almost a year now and shows no indication that he's even the tiniest bit interested in changing.--Crossmr 18:20, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- And I believe removing his subpages would be, in a way, "tampering with evidence" as they are currently being used in his ArbCom case. He pretends to be interested in changing but he refuses to, blaming others. --CFIF (talk to me) 19:21, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Just start reverting his "useful" edits for any reason and he'll first revert you, then when you re-revert accuse you of WP:OWN, then (possibly) threaten to nominate the article for deletion (as though that has anything to do with anything), then yell "Leave me alone or I will file an RfC", then file a frivolous RfC that then gets roundly mocked and laughed at and promptly shuttered for lack of certs. One thing he won't do is discuss in good faith on the talk page. And one thing he certainly won't do is expand on why his edits are so useful. Morgan Wick 07:19, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

New developments: CoolKatt's block to Spotteddogsdotorg may stem from here. I have been there, and to analyze:
- CFIF is on there
- the operator of Spotteddogs is nyviewer, and he is using others' TVNT names as sockpuppets (like MrPhillyTV). CFIF, could you please speak to the admins there about this activity?
- CoolKatt may be on there, somewhere. I think I am caught in the crossfire, visiting TVNT regularly as an anon. TrackerTV 00:39, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, I'm pretty sure the Spotteddogsdotorg is MrPhillyTV/Scott Brown, a psychotic banned user there. I don't think it's nyviewer, even though he hates Wikipedia and is a first-class jerk. --CFIF (talk to me) 00:42, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- The only reason I tie Spotteddogs to TVNT is once I had to go to spotteddogs.org to get a font from a link on TVNT. TrackerTV 17:18, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Comment: With all due respect -- do his suspected activities on another Web site have impact on the case against him here? Amnewsboy 22:45, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, good question, cause there's no CoolKatt-Spotteddogs connection that I can see. --CFIF (talk to me) 22:49, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- TrackerTV is either confused or not writing clearly. CoolKatt has nothing to do with Spotteddogs - except getting into an edit war with three users, two of which have been tagged as Spotteddogs socks. Also, Jose is Fluid has also been tagged as a sock. Morgan Wick 23:52, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- I apologize: I just saw that address and tied it to TVNT. TrackerTV 03:44, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Note from TrackerTV
This is a short note about CK's subpages.
These subpages have everything. Louisville Whore is too inappropriate for WP, he holds a deleted article on Pokemon anime cultural references, he has temporary lists of channel number/station matchups, fictional/alternate versions of TV stations, misc. stuff related to TV stations, and even a page called "Edit Wars". If anything is kept, Whore, the alt. stations, the Pokecruft, the channel numbers, and Edit Wars need to go. TrackerTV (CW|Castform|Green Valley) 03:58, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
- After the closure... On 5 November, the remaining 30 pages were deleted per my request to WP:AN, including Edit Wars, channel lists, and userfied deleted articles. CoolKatt had about 50 to 60 subpages, all of which have been deleted. TTV (MyTV|PolygonZ|Green Valley) 19:11, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
