[edit] Requests for Comment

-- Jonel | Speak 01:24, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Note - FRCP11 contacted me [6] after the first RFC; I had made the last edit to the Henry M. Jackson article before FRCP11 and 8bitJake got started with the edit war that 8bitJake was determined to "fight and win" [7].

[edit] Evidence by Hipocrite

Some quick fact-checking on Hipocrite's evidence.

  1. I was involved in one AfD and zero deletion reviews, contrary to Hipcrite's claim.
    1. According to my "position," however, the AfD consensus was that the subject in question did not deserve his own article. I have not protested this decision further, although I disagree with it. The AfD was not, contrary to implication, a referendum on the contents of the article, simply the notability of the subject.
  2. The "straw poll" referred to can be seen here, and as the straw poll did not involve options that reflected the beliefs of a number of editors on the article, I did not participate. There's nothing to "lose" when attempting to build consensus.
  3. There was no "taunting" involved with my discussion with Hipocrite, as the diffs provided bear out.
  4. There were no "fake motions to dispute resolution" made - I, in fact, still advocate mediation to work the situation out at this point.
  5. According to the policy at assume good faith, "[t]his policy does not require that editors continue to assume good faith in the presence of evidence to the contrary." Continued POV editing and false citing of policy no longer implores me to believe anything good was coming from that dispute in the first diff. Oddly, the second diff seems to show how, even while exasperated with continued efforts, an attempt to clearly cite policy and position was made.

I have no clue where to add those, or if this is a good place. ArbCom folks can feel free to move this section at will. --badlydrawnjeff talk 16:25, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Jeff you are not a qualified non-biased source to "Fact Check" Hipocrite's claims against you.--8bitJake 00:51, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
