Some of the mistakes I'm finding with Glen.

Understanding policy.

"Sensationalist" clearly a word designed to describe not vandalism.

bold editing.. while wordy should not have been reverted as vandalism.

Civil questions.

Yes you apparently didnt read the large "PROVIDE RELIABLE SOURCES FOR ANY ADDITIONS." written about your addition[3] but unfortunately the writer of the comment was 100% correct. Wikipedia policy requires a reliable source for your additon, if you could please locate one I will be happy to add "gIRL" to the page myself. Thanks - Glen 03:14, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

This almost was rude in, as if it capital letters were shouting rather then highlighting.

I'm having difficulty finding the images, and post counts at this time. --Masssiveego 09:52, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi Masssiveego, I haven't had a chance to look at the diffs yet, but your last link is easy as it was today. I simply copied as pasted the text exactly as written on the page itself (in capitals). I guess in hindsight I could've rewritten it but I try to respond to IPs as quickly as possible incase they're dynamic or AOL and I miss the user before they go. I will check the others out and respoind accordingly. Thanks again - Glen 12:05, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WP:U

Isn't this kind of username against WP:U? I am withholding my !vote until this is addressed. Themindset 16:44, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Also, beware that the letters capital i and lower case L, and the numeral 1 look exactly the same (I/l/1) in certain fonts, as do upper/lower case O and the numeral 0 (O/o/0). This should be taken into account, and creative use of one in place of the other (I where L would be expected and vice versa) is discouraged, given its past misuse, an infamous example of which can be read about here.
Just to explain; My former user name was Stollery but I changed it as I was growing tired of being called by my Surname. User:Glen has been taken for many years (though with no edits) however I didn't want to cause any dramas by requesting usurp. WP:U policy re names states that it's discouraged (though not against policy) however the reason for this is that the name might be confused for existing contributors - and as Glen had not made any contributions I figured they'd be no issues. To be certain I double checked with some sysops on IRC who concurred. Hope that clarifies, - Glen 19:23, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
