[edit] User pages
This isn't a really important question. I noticed that you don't link any of your sub-pages on your user pages at Dihydrogen Monoxide (talk · contribs)? For example,

- User:Dihydrogen Monoxide/Satisfying music notability guidelines
- User:Dihydrogen Monoxide/Recall
- User:Dihydrogen Monoxide/Awards
- User:Dihydrogen Monoxide/DYK

So, I discovered that you deleted your previous user page a couple of months ago. Why did you go for the minimalist ... almost blank ... user page? Cheers! Wassupwestcoast (talk) 18:20, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- I don't see anything wrong with not linking; most of those pages aren't important enough to link anyhow. As for the blank userpage, they're the second best design around (after mine, of course ;)). All in all, it's his userspace, he can do what he wants with it without there being a problem (unless he stops contributing everywhere else, or displays the famous Nazi userboxes, of course). · AndonicO Talk 21:28, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

- Hmm I don't link to all of mine either. Dlohcierekim 21:38, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'm neither for or against. I was just curious. Cheers! Wassupwestcoast (talk) 22:18, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- A lot of those pages aren't used (or may never have been used). /Clutter, /Awards, /Articles, and /DYK are linked via my talk page header, a lot of the others are either for my use, or should be deleted one of these days... :) — Dihydrogen Monoxide 00:33, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] what's this, then?
[1] confuses me. It looks like perhaps the comments of multiple editors were removed. Is that a good approach? Did it stay that way? The history is a bit tangled. ++Lar: t/c 22:09, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- Apparently, in a response to peer pressure, Majorly changed to support. Rather than striking, she removed her comment and subsequent remarks. Dlohcierekim 22:11, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
-
-
- Yea, Majorly is male. After the comments were removed, a link was placed in their place to the diffs. Avruchtalk 23:26, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well that's somewhat better I guess. Still, conventionally we just strike our own remarks (and if we feel badly about them, apologise) and not futz with other people's words, in these sorts of things. ++Lar: t/c 23:33, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- I removed my oppose. The rest of the thread was irrelevant, so didn't need to stay. And would have made no sense anyway. I feel I have ruined this RFA. DHMO is a great editor, just has some minor judgement lapses, hence my support. It was a mistake to oppose him. Majorly (talk) 00:11, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

- Removing others' comments is unacceptable unless they violate policy. Saying several times that you are sorry, but have ruined the RfA is not your way of being humble, but a backhanded reminder that you could fail an RfA. However, retracting your oppose, while begging for your bit back, all at a time when you knew the RfA was failed, removing others' comments and constantly reminding all of us that you feel responsible for the failure of this RfA has shot any credibility you once had. This time, it didn't take chat logs. This time it took an overzealous badgering of supporters and a fanatical flip-flopping of opinions and edits to ensure that you truly can't be taken seriously again. You are truly my lamb and martyr. the_undertow talk 09:28, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Unsure where you think I begged for it back. Like any admin who resigns uncontroversially, I asked on the 'crat noticeboard. I am entitled to that sysop bit, I don't have to "beg". And no, despite belief to the contrary, I cannot fail an RFA. That's a bureaucrat's job. Even if I hadn't participated, there was a lot of opposes unrelated to mine, so it would have still failed. I had credibility once? Yeah, right. I've been hated by so many people on this site for a long time, hence why I went through RFA again. Because of my stupidness, I lost friends, respect, and I'd like to thank the_undertow for bringing this up yet again. It makes me feel LOADS better. Thank you! (And in case anyone who can't detect online sarcasm is around, that is, indeed sarcasm) Majorly (talk) 15:51, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

- Ah well, don't blame yourself alone :-P Some other folks contributed, and my prominent link to the TRE review probably didn't help. Still, have you got this watchlisted? He gets closer each time, right? Next time is a cinch. Avruchtalk 00:43, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- LOL! Sounds good. — Dihydrogen Monoxide 01:46, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hey Avruch, I mentioned the TRE review first (I'm opposer #1, now that the previous two opposers *cough* "chickened out"). Don't take credit for ruining his RFA; I don't mind, I've opposed every one of his RFAs, but he knows it's for his own good. If/when he's ready, I'll be nominating (Riana and Anonymous Dissident are biased, noticed they're both Auzzees? The Auzzee Cabal is up to something... I can smell it. ;) ) · AndonicO Talk 04:19, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Then you need a better nose AndonicO...:) the AusCabal Co. Pty. Ltd. Inc. doesn't exist... --— Darkfallstalk 04:23, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
