Wikipedia talk:Requested articles/list of missing anatomy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A lot of these terms look like someone's just dragged them from an anatomy textbook's index without bothering to think about them...how someone can request "accumbens nucleus" without thinking to look for "nucleus accumbens" kinda beats me.
Anyway, a number of the remaining ones - and I've only really looked at 'A' - look to me like they're covered elsewhere. Alpha-motor neurons, for instance, are dealt with under motoneurons. Is it worth culling these and waiting for a "genuine" request before leaving them here?
I've been through some more of these, and at least 1 in every 10 is either an adjective, part of a verb, or something which I would suggest would be better off in Wiktionary. I'll keep culling the obviously superfluous ones...Nmg20 16:07, 10 July 2005 (UTC)
No other comments, so I've begun chopping out all the crap (if you'll pardon the expression). Reasons include: -Adjectives -Obscure phrasing of something already in Wikipedia (if it's not *that* obscure, I've put in a redirect page) -Index inversions, of the form "Hand left" for "Left hand" -Already covered -Non-anatomical terms, e.g. "intercalate"
Possibly others. I have only done a few letters - please do more!
