[edit] Issues to be mediated
- When constituent countries of the UK are linked in a navigation template, there seems to be a consensus for using some form of image (such as a flag, symbol or icon) next to the countries. The question is what should be used for Northern Ireland, and the three options currently being suggested are the Ulster Banner, a map of N. Ireland, or nothing. Proponents of the Ulster Banner claim it to be the most recognisable icon for NI; opponents say it is not the current N Irish flag by law, as well as being offensive to sections of the population within N Ireland itself.
[edit] Additional issues to be mediated
- Can the issue be moved to a single place to avoid arguments sweeping across Wikpedia, for example by using a template to include an appropriate NI flag or symbol, and leave the choice of flag or symbol to that template.
[edit] Parties' agreement to mediate
All parties should sign below, indicating that they agree to mediate the issue. If any party fails to sign, or if a party indicates they do not agree, then the mediation will be rejected. Only "agree" or "disagree" and signatures should appear here; any comments will be removed.
