nevermind they've been blocked Nil Einne 15:11, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

I had originally received this request from Bonaparte. He wanted me to protect 4 pages that a pro Nazi anon has been hitting hard. The trouble is that this anon is using a dynamic IP based out of Hungary, so protection isn't the best option. He's been spewing really awful hate literature type stuff. I'm not an expert at dynamic IPs. Hopefully someone else on here is. Any help would be appreciated. I'd rather not do protection but if that's the only option, it's the only option. (and yes I crossposted this on AN/I as well)

The articles in question are:

    • I see. This has been the user that has been blatently vandalising at my school. If its any corelation, He's the reason why I've been blocked on several occasions when I try to make (constructive) edits. I wish there were a way to stop him so that editors like myself could continue to edit in good faith without being blocked.... May I make a suggestion..? How about I add all his "contribution" pages to my watchlist..? That way I can revert his vandalising upon site and other editors can continue to edit in good faith without being blocked. -MegamanZero 22:49 5,December 2005 (UTC)

I've just blocked him for 24 hours for persistent vandalism. --Angr/tɔk tə mi 13:29, 4 October 2005 (UTC)
Actually, having read through the recent revert war, this looks like an ordinary content dispute. The claim by ProhibitOnions that his opponents are writing "nonsense" and vandalizing is just false. They are reverting to a version of the article that leaves it uncertain whether the story of Kennedy's alleged goof is true or false. Whereas the version ProhibitOnions prefers comes down decisively that the story is false. I think on the facts of the matter, ProhibitOnions is probably correct, but disagreeing with him is not vandalism. I think Tony Sidaway jumped the gun when he protected the page. (But ProhibitOnions is correct that some of those reverting away from his version are writing misleading edit summaries.) --Nate Ladd 23:32, 4 October 2005 (UTC)
Nathan, this is not a simple matter of disagreement. This person has repeatedly changed the article, each time adding different nonsense phrasing that asserts something that is demonstrably false. (It is not simply a weaker prior version of the text, although it is usually based on one.) No, the vandal has never discussed the topic on the talk page. Yes, the vandal uses misleading edit summaries. Apart from creating numerous sock puppets, he has now created a user name that is visually similar to mine (Prohibit0nions vs. ProhibitOnions) and used identical edit summaries to mine ("Reverted to consensus version, vandal warned"). Sorry, this is malicious vandalism, there's no other way to describe it. ProhibitOnions 19:15, 5 October 2005 (UTC)
Time has shown that this is the same person as the Iraqi insurgency sockpuppeteer and the Úbeda sockpuppeteer and the sockpuppeteer attacking pages that link to Template:Foreignchar. He's created an army of more than 150 sockpuppets (which are being systematically blocked and their edits reverted). It's a content dispute of sorts, except one person is using a huge army of sockpuppets to break 3RR and basically attempt to assert ownership of a few hundred articles. -- Curps 04:35, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
