[edit] Statement of the dispute
User TyrusThomas4lyf (talk · contribs) is an editor who began editing here a while back with the user id IlliniPride (talk · contribs) and ip 68.253.206.119 (talk · contribs), (see here), and exhibited uncivil behavior (see here and below) and an extreme POV regarding articles related to Michael Jordan and players who are often compared to him such as Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, and Dwyane Wade. He is apparently on a one man crusade to glorify Jordan and downplay the achievements of other players who frequently get compared to him. He has edit warred and reverted consensus (see here). These have extended to articles such as List of National Basketball Association players with 60 or more points in a game, Career achievements of Dwyane Wade, Career achievements of LeBron James, and List of National Basketball Association top individual scoring season averages as well as the main articles for the players and other NBA articles. Considering the amount of users he has come into conflict with I am confident other users will be able to provide more examples, particularly regarding the behavior relating to Jordan glorifying and downplaying of others. [edit] Desired outcome
Hopefully Tyrus will show a little more unbiased, NPOV behavior, not try to bully other editors, and be more civil. If not perhaps he should move on from editing articles relating to Jordan, Bryant, James, and Wade. Quadzilla99 06:17, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Description
The user TyrusThomas4lyfe has exhibited incredible biased behavior. He refuses to acknowledge consensus on articles such as LeBron James, Career achievements of LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, and Career achievements of Dwyane Wade, among others. He has continually exhibited personal attacks to anyone who opposes his opinions (see below). Evidence of his unbelievable biased behavior can be seen throughout the Career achievements of Michael Jordan talk page, and LeBron James talk page as well. For example, here he endorses dubious Michael Jordan stats that are indeed arbitrary, yet on pages such as Career achievements of Dwyane Wade, the users removes similar statistics, he deems arcane, see here. In the article LeBron James, he has exhibited wp:own behavior, and has attempted to continually removed data he deems arbitrary. Yet some of these same statistics are noted within the Jordan article, but he does not remove them. See here for our discussion on attempting to reach consensus on the issue. It is evident that the majority of users disagree with him and consensus was met on April 30th, yet he continually attempted to remove / revert edits on the page, see here, and here. The page Career achievements of LeBron James was then created to reduce the number of sections and clutter on the page per wp:MoS, and the user then went and removed the same statistics from there, see here. At the talk page you can easily note my frustration on how he has continually ignored consensus and continues to revert edits. I warned the user that if he continues to revert edits, after consensus was met, that I would be issuing official wikipedia warnings, which may ultimately lead to a block. From the history page of LeBron James you will note that he continues to revert edits, and does "Sweeping edits" to remove achievements. More evidence, Here he threatens to tag users with vandalism for adding achievements that are "all star selections, scoring champion awards," etc, and those who disagree with him, receive personal attacks: 1, 2, 3, 4. His biased behavior is vividly clear, and his attitude towards those who disagree with him is appalling. This is troublesome because his behavior discourages other users from contributing potentially helpful information. Zodiiak 21:07, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Evidence of disputed behavior
Uncivil Behavior, keep in mind he is also the IP as shown above. Note: As of right now I don't have time to work up all the Jordan, Bryant, James, and Wade diffs to show the pro-Jordan bias and anti-James, Bryant, and Wade biases. Later I will work to do this, any help would be appreciated. Quadzilla99 06:17, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Editing biases
-
- [22] : An illustrative edit simultaneously showing an attempt to diminish Kobe Bryant's performance, insertion of Michael Jordan related cruft, and the surreptitious replacement of relevant information (but not supportive of Michael Jordan's legacy) with information that's intended to elevate Jordan's accomplishment. {Users who tried and failed to resolve the dispute}

- Tayquan hollaMy work 18:10, 4 May 2007 (UTC) I tried to discuss things with him over on the Lebron James talk page and as stated above he ignored everybody and went ahead with his edits.
- Aaron Bowen 21:31, 4 May 2007 (UTC) I tried to work with him on the Jordan article to no avail. He seems to be a bully who doesn't want to discuss things. Also a look over his edit history reveals the bias people pointed out above. Almost every edit he makes related to a Jordan related article makes Jordan look better, while every edit to the other players articles downplays their accomplishments.
- Chris 21:41, 4 May 2007 (UTC) I try to warn him here to stop calling me names when I edited the 2007 playoffs page, but he ignore me. So I bring it up to the ANI (click here to see)
- Duhon 03:29, 5 May 2007 (UTC) I as well tried to reason with him and advised him not to make sweeping edits without consesus click here to see needless to say my efforts were in vain.
