Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Anilingus

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's a misspelling of "analingus", a sex act. I asked the user to change names voluntarily, but they're being uncooperative. See Wikipedia:Username for offensive username policy. Rhobite 06:52, Jan 16, 2005 (UTC)

Comment. How is this offensive? I think you should find a more productive use of your time Radical/Rhobite. Ollieplatt 07:05, 16 Jan 2005 (UTC)

EXCUSE ME! My name is An Lingus, not a misspelling of anything. Get a life. You're disgusting. Anilingus 07:08, 16 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Quite the name. Considering the stuff you've been "contributing" to the project, why would you find such a deduction to be offensive? But seriously: While it doesn't personally offend me, I can see how it could. User:Anilingus should change his/her name in respect of other users. -- Hadal 07:14, 16 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Assuming that dubious explanation is true, it violates username policy just as surely as User:Motherfuck3r would. Also, since you are a new user, I direct you to Wikipedia's "no personal attack" policy as well. Khanartist 07:17, 2005 Jan 16 (UTC) Interesting. According to Anilingus' second edit of this page, he does not know how to spell his own name. Khanartist 07:31, 2005 Jan 16 (UTC)

OK I know when I'm licked. I'll change my name. Anilingus 08:01, 16 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I have to admit, this last was funny. Still, I blocked the account for violating the name rules. RickK 07:43, Jan 17, 2005 (UTC)
The name only seemed to me offensive when I think about it; that is, if I have the term "lingus" right. Peter O. (Talk) 23:41, Jan 17, 2005 (UTC)
