From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In order to remain listed at Wikipedia:Requests for comment, at least two people need to show that they tried to resolve a dispute with this user and have failed. This must involve the same dispute, not different disputes. The persons complaining must provide evidence of their efforts, and each of them must certify it by signing this page with ~~~~. If this does not happen within 48 hours of the creation of this dispute page (which was: 07:00, Jun 22, 2005 (UTC)), the page will be deleted. The current date and time is: 02:19, 14 June 2008 (UTC).

[edit] Statement of the dispute
This is a summary written by users who dispute this user's conduct. Users signing other sections should not edit here.
[edit] Description
Almost every edit by this user is related to MTV's prank show Punk'd. It's a hidden-camera show hosted by Ashton Kutcher, which plays pranks on celebrities. It's fine that this user adds summaries of every Punk'd appearance to celeb articles. I think it adds color. It's also OK that his grammar isn't perfect - other users are there to rewrite his submissions. The problem is that he is totally unable to accept people rewriting his sentences, which are often unreadable. He comes in from multiple IPs, and insists on reverting to his oddly-phrased versions. Examples:
- "In 2005, Braff was on Punk'd, after being tricked by Ashton Kutcher and Scrubs co-star Donald Faison, after Braff had to deal with a gang of kids led by Rob Pinkston, who vandalized Braff's brand new $100,000 Porsche with fake spray paint when Braff and Faison declined to buy them some beer." [1]
- "On the April 24, 2005 episode of Punk'd, Simpson was reduced into more tears. Kutcher and his crew members convicted Simpson into believing that her friend's jacket had caught fire due to being placed near a candle, causing the overhead sprinklers in the art museum to go off, ruining all the paintings in the room." [2]
This editor has never used an edit summary or a talk page. There's nothing wrong with his zeal for documenting Punk'd appearances, but Wikipedia editors need to defer to users who fix their grammar.
