Wissam is vandalizing the same articles Shafii was, mainly Hisham Kabbani. Shafii is currently under a block for those edits and has been blocked several times before. Note that Wissam and Haqqani are now both blocked for their edits, but only for 24-38hrs whereas Shafii, the suspected puppetmaster, is blocked for 3 months. Checkuser is needed to prove that they are the same individual so that the blocks can all be updated to the same time-length. Strothra 05:06, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

Oy, note that an admin already stated that he's a sockpuppet, just not in the checkuser forum: [1]. Haqqani and Wissam are obviously sockpuppets. There's the user names and then a quick 5-second check of the contrib history shows the exact same edits being made: [2] [3] both include the same inaccurate translation of "Khalifa" in parentheses as "deputy." Wissam and Shafii's edits [4], are inserting heavily pro-Kabbani POV and the removal of criticism. Further, all three are recent edit warriors solely on the same two articles: Hisham Kabbani and Nazim al-Qubrusi.--Strothra 00:25, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

I've also been researching Wissam7007, and have the following diffs to add.

In the case of the IP, edits were made to Hisham Kabbani here and here, which were then followed by similar edits from Wissam here, here, and here. The last Wissam edit was on 4 November 2007 (UTC). Less than a day later, user Simorgh7007 (note the similar name) created the article at As-Sayyid Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani Al Haqqani Al Rabbani (diff), which incorporated many points made in the above edits from the IP and Wissam7007. I saw it on the newpages list and wiki-formatted the article, before finding the existing article at Hisham Kabbani. I proposed merge (attempting to AGF), which Simorgh strongly disagreed with - to the point of removing the merge tag. ZZ ^Claims ~ Evidence 02:39, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Confirmed Simorgh7007 = Wissam7007. Possible Haqqani7007 is related to the previous two, but given the name, it's pretty obvious again. Unrelated for Shafii Qadiri. No comment on the IP. --Deskana (talk) 22:59, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
