  • Supporting evidence: See Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#User:William Ortiz - disruptive editing, accusations, and now possible sockpuppetry. Essentially, the case revolves around William Ortiz (talk · contribs)'s use of Pretmaybe (talk · contribs) to present the illusion of support for his changes to Nigeria, a violation of WP:SOCK for which I have blocked the puppet account. However, upon further review I noticed that the puppet was registered in August 2007 but had not made a single edit until tonight, which means that it was registered as a sleeper account. Since experience has taught me that sleeper accounts travel in packs, I'm filing a checkuser request so we can go ahead and clear the drawer. --jonny-mt 16:56, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

    • Wow--based on their activities, I thought it was a pretty clear case, but I guess I was wrong. Thanks for your help; I still want to review a couple more things, but at the very least it looks like I have some apologies to make. --jonny-mt 02:34, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
