[edit] Titoxd

  • Code letter: G

OK, so perhaps this is a bit unnecessary, but considering the recent attempts to attack the integrity of administrators' passwords, I thought it would be a good idea to request a CheckUser on myself. I am aware that my IP address and user agent info will remain on file, so in the case my account is hijacked, I can notify checkusers that another account is indeed myself. I'm listing EvilCat as well, a testing account I use for technical tests, for further info for the record. Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 21:16, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Declined. This isn't really a good idea. Commenting on bugzilla for password security suggestions is better. That capchtas/sysadmin password crack testing should hold fine for now. Voice-of-All 21:23, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Er, this is on top of all those measures. It is not an either/or suggestion. Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 23:53, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
Yes, but it is not needed. Voice-of-All 00:04, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Well, all of the discussion at WP:BN about AndyZ indicates that a major issue there is that there is no available CheckUser information to confirm that AndyZ is indeed AndyZ, so there is a need for it. Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 00:12, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
