It looks like "The ted" may have logged out of his account to remove a speedy-delete notice from a page he created, Yell&Ice (history). He previously removed the speedy-delete notice from the page he created twice before here and here, violating WP:SPEEDY where it says "Any user who is not the creator of a page may remove a speedy tag from it. The creator may not do this[...]". The third time after being re-added it was removed rather speedily by 129.78.64.105 (see here,) which suggests to me that this IP address could be "The ted" being wary of the WP:3RR rule. The timing just seems too suspicious. Hopefully I'm wrong, but could you please check this out? Thanks. -- HiEv 06:13, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- Unnecessary for two reasons: 1) Checkuser does not serve for minor incidents (but rather for serious ongoing vandalism and other abuse);
2) Duck test. Obviously the user forgot to log in when editing the article, and corrected the mistake on the second edit.Just post a notice on his talk page and/or at WP:ANI. - Mike Rosoft 10:12, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
