[edit] Stevewk
main edit links history watch Filed: 14:56, 5 June 2007 (UTC) |
- Code letter: F
Please see Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Stevewk and Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/3RR#User:Stevewk_reported_by_User:Reddi_.28Result:_60_hours.29. I am requesting a check user on the advice of the blocking admin, after I contacted them when I noticed the same editing patterns by IPs on the same articles that Stevewk was edit warring before the block. I believe Stevewk was using anonymous IP editing to evade a block (I say "was" because the block should be up by now). An example: this diff and this diff shows the IP user removing headers and div columns in the same manner as this diff by Stevewk. -Andrew c 14:56, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Stevewk (third request)

- Code Letter: E
- Text reverted to: 16:12 9 December 2006
- with edit summary mess with that, and you're messing with perfection.
- 1st reversion: 22:19 6 January 2007
- told you NOT to mess with perfection. listen for once, will ya???
- 2nd reversion: 12:01, 7 January 2007
- jensen knows not what he writes. do NOT mess with perfection, as I have produced. (as anon)
- 3rd reversion 20:00, 7 January 2007
- dont mess with the first paragraph. it is concise perfection. listen up!
- 4th reversion 21:18, 7 January 2007
- you wouldnt know "massive" if it bit you in the ass, mr. puny. (as anon)
I include the edit summaries because they are what convince me that stevewk and the anon are the same user. The first reversion is limited to the first paragraph, and is not exact there; but the edit summary makes clear that this is reversion to "perfection".
Stevewk was blocked for 3RR back in November, so he understands it. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 21:55, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Stevewk 2
- Stevewk (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
- Others listed in the history of Rjensen's userpage
- Code letter: C (and E)
The IPs (see their contribs for diffs) in question have consistently blanked talkpages and vandalised userpages of a small group of users: Rjensen (talk · contribs), Hlj (talk · contribs) Kablammo (talk · contribs) and Luna Santin (talk · contribs). They all have in common that they objected to an edit by Stevewk (talk · contribs). Stevewk is serving on a 3RR violation block, but appears to be violating this block to make these attacks. Mgm|(talk) 09:15, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Declined. Preliminary checking into the IPs listed shows no connection to Stevewk, or any other user for that matter, and that pretty well rips the legs out from under the justification of a check of Stevewik. Essjay (Talk) 04:06, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

- 3RR on Republic (Warning given on User talk:Stevewk: 08:04, 21 October 2006):
-
- 00:26, 23 October 2006 (as Stevewk)
- 17:04, 23 October 2006 (as Stevewk)
- 18:11, 23 October 2006 (as Stevewk)
- 20:04, 23 October 2006 (as 70.110.212.135)
- Note also abusive language on Talk:Republic:
-
- "(...) you're being ignorant (...)" as Stevewk
- "(...) escapist excrement (...)" as 70.110.212.135 - then changed to Stevewk. Francis Schonken 20:47, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

- Comment - There appears to have been an accidental misstatement above. The first listed revert is mis-compared. The actual sequence is:
- Stevewk edits a version by Francis
- which is vandalized
- ArmadilloFromHell makes a vandalism fix revert
- Stevewk then makes a non-edit of ArmadilloFromHell's revert
- The diff provided by Francis above compares the first to the last in that sequence, which is an improper diff. comparing the first to the last without intervening context
- As is pointed out in the edit histories, there's no need to CU this as Stevewk admits the last revert was him accidentally logged out [1], but the sequence of four actual reverts exceeds 24 hrs.
