[edit] Standshown

We have a battleground developing at Neo-Nazism in Serbia with a long running edit war involving multiple accounts. These accounts have been repeatedly removing sourced material. Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Standshown does not seem conclusive enough to justify a block at this time. Hopefully technical evidence can clarify the situation.

72.75.47.110 (talk · contribs) is an admitted alternate account of Stagalji (talk · contribs) [8] That IP removed a comment from the talk page of Standshown (talk · contribs) that was left by content adversary Strothra (talk · contribs).[9] That's a rather odd thing for an unconnected editor to do. 66.2.146.41 (talk · contribs) has also joined in that mini-battle over that comment, so I have listed them as well.

I've added Paulcicero (talk · contribs) because that account has a history of edit warring, and joined the battle to remove sourced statements about neo-nazi activities in Serbia.[10] The sources appear valid, so it's odd that this editor would join the battle to remove this stuff.

Stagalj claims to use a different internet account than Standshown and invites checkuser. [11]. Standshown has said, "I've contacted Stagalj. We learned that we live in two different cities, use two different IP accounts owned by two different ISPs." [12] Jehochman Talk 21:11, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Unrelated - Stagalj (talk · contribs) and Standshown (talk · contribs) - however, both editors have been evading 3RR / detection by logging out. No comments as to which of the two IP addresses above is which. This is as much as policy allows in this case.

Thank you. I have issued warnings to both users.[13][14] Hopefully this will be the end of it. Jehochman Talk 20:59, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

  • To the checkuser Alison - please, provide a sound proof of your accusation based on the overall history of our contributions. Just one case will suffice!--Stagalj (talk) 22:10, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Please note that it's not my place to make any accusations here; all I can do is make a determination. Furthermore, as the evidence I review is private information and does not only apply to just yourself, I cannot reveal anything publicly here - Alison 23:32, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
I have merely warned both users not to do something they already should not be doing (logging out to avoid scrutiny). If they behave properly from now on, there is no disadvantage to them whatsoever. Jehochman Talk 23:38, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
