[edit] Sexyorge

  • Code letter: D

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Ben_Going They seem to have colored the vote; I might be wrong, but I think the consensus was heading toward a keep. Two of them influenced http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Cory_Williams&oldid=129784982

User:GRBerry pointed out that the earlier location wasn't the best place for my request. I hope it's not a problem that I posted much of this twice.

Here's the case that is pending at IP check. My arguments apply:

  • Code letter: A
Clerk note: same names, plus:

New name for sexyorge:

Names that haven't been used too recently but with related, extremely similar edits:

The last three and Shoopshoop have edits that were wiped out with the deletion of Cory Williams and its associated talk page.

Some of my earliest suspicions about sock puppetry were raised here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk:Deletion_review&oldid=125702519 Scroll to the bottom to find an abortive attempt at Williams's deletion by what look to be three SPAs that regularly appeared on Talk:Cory Williams. They posted within six minutes of each other, and I can't fathom that 3 separate users made the same mistake of posting deletion arguments on a discussion page.

User:Shoopshoop and User:Mikeskehan, mikeskehan on YouTube, were involved in the circus that became of YouTuber Cory Williams's AfD, which was tending toward a final decision of "no consensus" had Cory Williams himself not complained through Wikipedia:OTRS of rogue Wikipedians who called his house to argue against his article's existence.

Then came http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Ben_Going , where multiple editors and admins raised the same concerns about sockpuppetry I have. If you browse the suspected puppets' edit histories, you will find they have a history of vandalism, disruption, and unverified claims.

You might also want to check the following, whom I suspected after this: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3AArticles_for_deletion%2FBen_Going&diff=138892715&oldid=138889206 If they aren't connected to the users above, they might be connected to each other:

I'm less worried about these two, though. Ichormosquito 03:56, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Clerk note: To keep the case concise, I merged the names appearing in both cases. -- lucasbfr talk 07:14, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
You might want to look over Talk:Ben_Going. The accounts are being used to bait me. Ichormosquito 20:15, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

Confirmed. Sexyorge = Heideggger = TomSkillingJr = Nam69. Other unrelated. Didn't check the last two.Voice-of-All 02:48, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
