This is User:Rogerfgay The IP address of my machine is 83.251.224.102. The IP address of Kviki's machine is 83.251.224.101. The two machines are on the same small LAN so they have similar IP addresses; different only in the last number. I have never logged into Wikipedia from Kviki's machine. Kviki has never logged into Wikipedia from mine. I also do not know the technical details behind checking these things or the workings of the auto-blocking system. What I do know is that the IP addresses are different.
The auto-block is apparently set up to block my IP address - 83.251.224.102 - rather than Kviki's - 83.251.224.101 - again, how Kviki's account is blocked (perhaps through account name?) while 83.251.224.102 is the IP address named - I don't know. But auto-block has blocked my machine on 83.251.224.102 even though Kviki has nothing to do with this IP address.
The actual problem that occurred was one of meatpuppetry (two different machines) by new Wikipedians (myself and Kviki). The mistake was immediately openly admitted when we were made aware that that it very strongly frowned upon, Kviki immediately ceased participation in the discussion, and the effect was not significantly disruptive (other than just taking someone's time to mention the problem).
I am absolutely sure of the facts regaring IP addresses. Kviki uses a different machine and has never logged onto or used Wikipedia from 83.251.224.102. Rogerfgay 12:22, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- Additional information needed What are you trying to accomplish with this? What should the checkusers find? And we need a code letter. --ST47Talk 12:31, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- His code letter would be "— Checkuser on yourself to "prove your innocence" Such requests are not accepted. Please do not ask.", I believe. -N 20:31, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- Declined. I've re-run the original request, and the report stands as given there. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 20:34, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Sockpuppetry established at Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Rogerfgay. Rogerfgay swears up and down his autoblock is incorrect because he's not on the same IP as his sock [1]. I'm not sure if autoblock works on more than one IP, if it does then please disregard this request. Request proof that this user is on the same IP as his sock and to determine if any more socks exist. -N 16:27, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- Clerk note: As far as I know, Autoblock is on a single IP, so you have your answer :). Listing the request so it can be checked whether or not the IP is shared. -- lucasbfr talk 16:41, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- Confirmed that they're on the same IP. No comment regarding the IPs. No other socks found. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 22:07, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
