[edit] Pussy Galore

A couple of users have been claiming on AfD articles that I am a sock puppet. Of whom, it is never stated. Please do a checkuser on me, it's possible I do have multiple accounts at this IP, but please confirm that no use of multiple accounts has taken place in contravention of Wiki policy. Pussy Galore 15:59, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Clerk note: For various reasons, self-checks are almost never done. Are you admitting you have multiple accounts and would like a checkuser to verify that you haven't abused them? If so, that's a first for me (in over 400 requests I've seen) and we'll have to see what the checkusers say. Let us know if you want to proceed. Thatcher131 (talk) 16:07, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Yeah. I don't register my account with an email address, so if I forget the password, I'll just make up another account. It's possible that I have used this IP for other accounts, but you should see that the logs show they have only ever been used consecutively, never concurrently, and certainly never to 'vote stack' in AfDs or anything else in contravention of any wikipedia policy. Please do proceed, if you need my IP to be posted publicly, I'll do it, but I'd rather not, if I don't have to. --Pussy Galore 16:16, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
There's no need to post your IP address. If the checkusers look at this, they won't either. Thatcher131 (talk) 16:30, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Well, this is certainly a novel request, but there's little harm in it. Based on the information in front of me, the activity from your IP address is completely above-board. I think we're done here. Mackensen (talk) 20:13, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi there. One of the accusers has named the person I am accused being the puppet of. It's a chap called user:Striver. If you get a spare minute, you couldn't possibly oblige could you please?--Pussy Galore 00:19, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
We're getting beyond what checkuser can do for you and into the territory of why self-requested checks are rarely done. There are ways that a knowledgable user could arrange for contibutions from User:Foo and User:Foo's sock to come from different IP addresses, and thus not be detected by checkuser. The contributions from your present IP appear above-board; more than that we can not say. Sorry. Thatcher131 (talk) 00:29, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
OK dude, I'll leave it at that. Many thanks for your time dude. --Pussy Galore 00:49, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Pussy Galore was permanently banned for trolling. Since you've already done the checkuser and he admits to having sockpuppets, is it appropriate to ban those accounts as well?--Tbeatty 04:01, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

In response to Pizza's edit comment for his self deleted post. Pussy Galore is a permanently banned used. If he uses his sockpuppet's it would be to circumvent that ban. Therefore, all his sockpuppets should be banned. Sockpuppets are what they are with no positive or negative comments. THere are no legitimate uses for a sock puppet of a indefinitely banned user per policy. --Tbeatty 05:53, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

I am not so sure that a self-deleted comment, complete with apologies for getting it wrong, warrants a response. But thanks anyway. PizzaMargherita 20:21, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

I replied to make my request clearer since it obviously created some confusion. --Tbeatty 20:30, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Checkuser is not for fishing. Mackensen (talk) 20:44, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
