This user has been repeatedly evading his block, through the use of (at least) these alternate accounts (all currently blocked):
- Babelious (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
- Boxmann (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
- Dr. DbK (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
- ROWikian (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
- Shinigami Queen (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
- Sox207 (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
- The Big X (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
And through the use of IP edits. Here are just a few:
(The IPs were (roughly) all blocked for 3 months, though some may have expired.)
And the contributions of the following account have the user placing sock tags on the userpages of several accounts.
- Nobody here likes me (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
Based on that alone, though some are not as clear, we should check the following as well, to prevent blocking someone who may not actually be PatPeter. (Some of the following have been blocked, and some have not.):
- Boxman (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
- Boxmann (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
- Dr. K (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
- Pagesock (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
- Shinigami Queen (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
- You cannot block me (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
And User:Pagesock (see directly above), has placed the tag on:
I think the above two situations are due to the user finding Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of PatPeter. I think he may be now seeing it as a personal "trophycase" of sorts.
For further reference, please see the discussion at User talk:Alison#User:PatPeter, and of course, the other checkUser, below.
I'd also like to request if some sort of range block is possible. Needless to say, finding and reverting his edits takes a lot of work, and I'll freely admit that I've not personally been able to keep up with reverting his editing.
I realise that this is rather lengthy. Thank you very much for your time and consideration. - jc37 20:59, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

The IP is self-confirmed by Wolfdog1 per this diff
And though Wolfdog1 has most of the same editing tendencies as PatPeter (The Big O, esoteric userboxes, etc.), the many edits to articles related to Billings Montana, would seem to place this in doubt. (Not going into detail because I don't know if it's appropriate, but PatPeter would seem to be from a different US state.) So I'm not sure that this could be confirmed by the typical WP:DUCK test. - jc37 22:26, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- I'm a little lost here, on exactly what is being asked. Most of the accounts listed have no edits in the CU database, although Confirmed that ROWikian, PatPeter and Shinigami Queen are the same person.
- Well, I'm looking to end the "hide-n-chase" socking.
- I've also seen in the past that contacting the IP and/or the school of a banned user is typically useful. WHOIS/DNS seem to confirm that all of the non-AOL IPS are at least from the same city and IP provider. And 64.107.9.230 (which I can show easily and concretely how it passes the WP:DUCK test based on it's contribs, and is therefore clearly PatPeter) would seem to be an IP at a school. I intend to ask others about this (as I would consider myself really inexperienced in such matters), but this CU was the "next step" suggested by others. Your insight would obviously be welcome. - jc37 01:35, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- Confirmed that You cannot block me and Nobody here likes me are the same person, but the IP is AOL, so no technical connection to PatPeter.
- Wolfdog1 is Unrelated on a technical basis; different ISP and different location. Thatcher 23:59, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, thank you. - jc37 01:35, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

- PatPeter (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
- Sox207 (talk • contribs • logs • block user • block log • checkuser)
- Code letter: F
I believe User:PatPeter is using User:Sox207 as a sockpuppet. See also: Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard#Policy_question. these links to WP:AN and WP:AN/I archives show a markedly similar pattern. Some lengthier discussions:
- Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/IncidentArchive224#User:PatPeter_and_Category:User_templates_and_subcat_tree.
- Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/IncidentArchive226#User:Coelacan_and_User:Alison.27s_repeated_harrassment_of_User:PatPeter
It's notable that Sox207 started editing when PatPeter stopped editing, and even has edited PatPeter's subpages (last edits of each: here and members page here; and this would seem to clinch it.
Though I think editing pattern, user tone and word usage in communication, and the stopping/starting of editing may be enough for the WP:DUCK test, I would like confirmation from checkuser. - jc37 19:49, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- See User talk:PatPeter/User nocatdeclaw, for another near confirmation. - jc37 09:16, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
- See also User_talk:Woohookitty, where Sox207 is talking about PatPeter as if they're a different person, but curiously supporting all their userboxes, including ones transcluded nowhere else and hence probably unknown to anyone else on Wikipedia. Orderinchaos 02:55, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
