Numismaticman's edit style is very similar to that of User:Aidan Work. Aiden Work has been banned for being ... let's just say "not nice". Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Aidan Work is the closest thing I can find about his actions. Alternatively, you can look at list of Wikipedia: space pages that link to Aidan Work's user page.
Evidence that these two users are actually the same person
- User:Numismaticman created many "banknotes of ..." and "postal order of ..." articles (see Category:Numismatics and Category:Banknotes.
- All of those are former British colonies
- Continuation of Aidan Work's work (pun intended), such as Commonwealth postal orders, Postal Orders of the United Kingdom, Postal Orders of Canada.
- Places articles under Category:Numismatics inappropriately
- Same sectioning style
- Likes to capitalise section titles and currency units
- Similar reference style (see [1] and [2].
User:Paisleyite1976 appears to be the same and has been banned again already. ChoChoPK (球球PK) (talk | contrib) 05:18, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

- I am 99.9% sure that this is User:Aidan Work, who was banned by IP from almost every numismatic site on the Internet, including this one. At the end of July he acquired a new IP address and signed up to all those sites under a different name, including mine. I however had put a banned cookie on his machine which my site immediately detected and banned him again. Most of these sites have caught up with him and re-banned him but some have not. He is now posting the same hatred (I have examples if needed) on those that got him booted from here. If an admin would like to check his new IP, I have it. I left a message on his talk page and called him Aidan [3]. He responded here [4] and did not dispute it. Bobby I'm Here, Are You There? 22:12, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
More evidence even better than the last [9]. Bobby I'm Here, Are You There? 20:56, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- Please be patient, what you see as low hanging fruit, others may see as "obvious". We run CUs only if needed. My investigations tell me that Aidan Work and Paisleyite1976 are long gone, Both have last edits in 2006. So we can't technically correlate them. But patterns of behaviour and interest suggest that it is Likely that Numismaticman is this same user. Based on behaviour, and the desire to recreate copyrighted material, Numismaticman seems blockable to me in any case. Further CU investigation at this time is not warranted. ++Lar: t/c 03:16, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

- So what happens now when the result is "likely"? --ChoChoPK (球球PK) (talk | contrib) 17:47, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- It's up to the discretion of an admin. As I said, this looks blockable based on behaviour. Find a willing admin who has the time for follow up (this is not a block and walk away sort of situation, but then no block of someone who isn't just an out and out vandal ever is), and ask them to get involved. It also looks like this account is taggable as a "suspected sockpuppet" and when you place that template, point to this case as well as the contributions you are correlating. Hope that helps. If you after some time don't think the right things were done, bring it to WP:AN/I ++Lar: t/c 00:21, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
