[edit] Featsoffact

I need the user checked to see if they are also editing using the IPs. Edits are for the same entries and there is no break in continuity between them (including the most recent one in which [5] the latest IP accused me of following them despite that being the first edit to the page, or any other listed here) - starting on Chris Bunting and Mr. T (comics)‎ (specifically the comic written by Chris Bunting) then spreading out to graphic novel to include a quote about the upcoming Mr. T graphic novel (written by Chris Bunting), which is where the problems really started (and the page is now semi-protected) - see the histories for a better overview. As the IP is an AOL one, I know from experience, they can "drift" over time so could in theory all the 172.*.*.* addresses could be the same account - the check is to see if that account is the same one used by Featsoffact, as that would imply they are getting around concerns about edit warring and avoiding violating WP:3RR. See also discussion here, where concerns have been raised but I have pretty much reached the limit of what I can do with the various pages. Emperor (talk) 15:16, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Clerk note: While there is no 3RR violation I could count, the article is now semi protected due to the edit warring. -- lucasbfr talk 22:54, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Just to say that if it isn't strictly speaking WP:3RR it is close with the user and IPs doing 4 reverts in a bit over a day and a half:
  • 16:21, 11 March 2008 Featsoffact [6]
  • 10:09, 12 March 2008 172.200.220.223 [7]
  • 20:08, 12 March 2008 172.200.220.223 [8]
  • 09:20, 13 March 2008 172.143.110.130 [9]
So if those IPs are the same user (and my sums are right) that is 3 reverts in under 23 hours. However, as it stands they could conceivably be different individuals, although the seamless editing would suggest otherwise. (Emperor (talk) 23:33, 13 March 2008 (UTC))
  • Ordinarily I would not confirm a user's IP address based on a single brief edit war, but since AOL use does not give away any identifying info, I think I can safely say Confirmed. Thatcher 22:38, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
  • For the record, wrong , as I forgot to sign in correctly one time only, but this, Emperor is now harassment. I am taking this further now. Do not contact me again.--Featsoffact (talk) 19:59, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
