[edit] Daverotherham

User:Daverotherham is Secretary of one of Jersey's political parties over a number of days has systematically requested the deletion of a number of articles about organisations and individuals link to other political party in Jersey.

Further has made personal attacks against me claiming I am a sock puppet for another user (IP addresses may be similar since Jersey is a small place with just two IP providers)

Further has edited articles related to his own organisation over a period of time on a regular basis e.g. Jersey Democratic Alliance

For example has removed Peter Pearce but left Geraint Jennings yet both hold same post in Jersey politics. Removed Darius J Pearce leader of other political party. Proposed removal of Progress Jersey pressure group run by members of other party. —Preceding unsigned comment added by RichardColgate (talkcontribs) 20:15, July 3, 2007

Answers to points raised: Yes, as openly declared when creating user account and here and there in talk pages when appropriate, I am a leading member of JDA. I have also systematically launched AfD processes for a number of CP(J) related entries that I felt were reflecting discredit on Jersey Politics and Wikipedia alike, by being nakedly self-promotional and unencyclopedic. I first suggested to Darius J Pearce off-Wiki that he might like to clean them up himself, but he just dared me to test the Wikipedia community's views on the offending pages. So I did.

I do indeed believe "Richard" is a sockpuppet of Mr. Pearce. As he says, Jersey is a small place, so if, after all this time, I do get to meet him after all, I shall buy him a large glass of whatever his favourite drink is by way of apology, followed up promptly by a full retraction and apology on Wikipedia.

Yes, as declared on creation of user account and page, my original mission was to rectify vandalism on the JDA entry, and I have since made updates where nobody else was doing it. Now User:Tony theprof, a neutral local of unquestioned integrity, is watching the page, I am leaving it in his hands.

The Wikipedia community removed Peter Pearce because they were unconvinced of his notablity. As I explained on the talk page, I consider Geraint Jennings notable for activities and achievements beyond the holding of low office. Darius J Pearce is NOT the leader of the CP(J). I looked them up on Wikipedia, and, according to RichardColgate's own edit, Roger Benest is. The AfD for the unsatisfactory article on Progress Jersey did provoke someone to find the necessary references to bring it up to a marginally encyclopedic standard, so that was productive from a Wikipedia viewpoint.Daverotherham 14:41, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Delisted I am going to delist this, this is not a checkuser request. -- lucasbfr talk 15:00, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
