[edit] Darin Fidika

Darin Fidika was at one point indefinitely blocked for repeated violations of copyright. These were not blatant and obvious violations, but more subtle infractions where he would copy a short bit of text and change the structure slightly to create something a little different. Nihonjoe (talk contribs blocks protects deletions moves rights) and I deleted over 700 pages of copied text; eventually it was decided to block Fidika.

Later he returned under an alternate account name, User:Tathagata Buddha, with an editing pattern that seemed to stay away from the samurai articles he had been plagiarizing/copying. Because of that, Nihonjoe and I agreed to allow this alternate account, as it seemed to be doing good things. (The account ended up being blocked as a username violation, though, a couple weeks later.) Now there is a user, Exiled Ambition, who is creating articles about samurai topics again closely based on the Samurai Wiki. The owner of Samurai Wiki, User:Kuuzo thinks this is Fidika. I'm not sure, but if it is he should be blocked, because his block was only reversed because he was staying away from samurai topics, and frankly, it's too much work to comb through everything Fidika writes trying to see if it's a copyright violation when we know that he is willing to violate copyright but takes some effort to conceal it. Ah, ok, um, never mind, this is obvious, Fidika identified himself on his new User page. My apologies for not being more through, removing this request. Mangojuicetalk 18:09, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
