Classicjupiter2 has used many sockpuppets to disrupt Surrealism and related articles, listed in previous RCU requests. Recently Surrealism was full protected ([1]) and Talk:Surrealism semi-protected ([2]) to prevent him from trolling the article with socks/IPs. Protection was lifted on Mar. 3, and Classicjupiter2 seems to have returned under some new names. Standard M.O. is to create an account, make an edit to the User page, and post to Talk:Surrealism or User talk:Daniel C. Boyer (a user that Classicjupiter2 has a long-term dispute with).
This is code "G" (is this the first use of this shiny new code letter?) because Classicjupiter2 has never been banned or blocked for an extended period, nor are the new accounts actively disruptive. In fact, Worldeater's latest post ([3]) is quite reasonable. Nevertheless, Classicjupiter2 has been a disruptive force for years on Surrealism articles, and I think he's creating these socks to keep the dispute going. --Akhilleus (talk) 22:52, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
To add a few links to previous discussion: a mediation on Surrealism was shut down due to Classicjupiter2's sockpuppets: [4]. A proposal for a community ban was put on the Community Noticeboard, but there was no consensus to ban: Wikipedia:Community_sanction_noticeboard/Archive2#Community_Ban_Request_on_User:Classicjupiter2_and_associated_sockpuppets. --Akhilleus (talk) 23:02, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Inconclusive Classicjupiter2 has no recent edits. The Uninvited Co., Inc. 18:56, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. I take it that it's not possible to say whether the other accounts are related to each other? --Akhilleus (talk) 19:04, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

This is the second time a usercheck has been requested for Classicjupiter2's suspected sockpuppetry (see below). And here is the page of evidence supporting the suspicion of sockpuppetry: Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Classicjupiter2
Apparently, as soon as one account is blocked, the user will find a new IP# and/or account to use. These newest usernames have been used to disrupt the consensus regarding editing of the Surrealism article. TextureSavant 00:05, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Classicjupiter2 and his suspected sockpuppets have been disrupting the surrealism article for at least 2 years now. In some cases (such as within the past month, the 3RR edit rule has been broken, leading to a temporary block on his account. Much of the recent sockpuppetry seems to be connected with the removal of Keith Wigdor's www.surrealismnow.com link from the surrealism article, as the consensus reached indicated that such a link was not important enough to warrant its inclusion in the links section of the article. In all likelihood, Classicjupiter2 and his sockpuppets actually ARE Keith Wigdor. Many of the newest sockpuppets have been presenting very similar arguments for why the link should be replaced within the article. Another recent development is that Classicjupiter2 was investigated for sockpuppetry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Suspected_sock_puppets/Classicjupiter2 . This latter page also has evidence supporting the suspicion that user Classicjupiter2 has been using several sockpuppets. TextureSavant 21:07, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- We've got a total match between Checkjupiter2 and 1, 2, 4, and 5. 3 and 6 are not evidently IP-related. 7 is related. I don't know what the heck 8 is; someone else might want to look at it for proxitude or whatever. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 02:24, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

- I think you should take a closer look at number 3. It seems that Wigdor, "the user", has access to several IP #s.--TextureSavant 03:25, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Subsequent requests related to this user should be made above, in a new section.
