[edit] Alex Kov

  • Code letter: G

Both Alex Kov and Zgoden (and Zgoden2) have been edit warring on Kievan Rus' (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs), where Zgoden is the only person on the latest 50 edits that share his opinion. My request is in whether Alex Kov is Zgoden's sockmaster. See also:

Comment: Completely unnecessary. See also Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/IncidentArchive291#Alex Kov unfairly blocked for socking that was done by another user.
Alex Kov's 133.. and 202... IP's are no secret. Alex Kov is guilty of other wiki-sins, including edit warring, offensive statements and editing logged out from 133... and 202... IPs with the purpose to annoy others, but not for creating socks. Users Zgoden and Zgoden2 are clearly socks but not of Alex Kov but of another user whose other known accounts and 134... IP's I do not wish to disclose publicly at this point. They all quack the 134... very much, the insidious provocations,[3] wikilawyering,[4] interest to the Ukrainian maps,[5] edit warring and poor command of Ukrainian language (this time in the usernames themselves) combined with the uk-nationalist POV-pushing.
Alex Kov's one week block for socking he did not commit needs to be lifted with the summary that would clear him from the accusation. Whether it needs to be replaced with the block for an overall disruptive behavior (shorter or longer), is something I will not comment at this point. --Irpen 05:09, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Update. Fully resolved based on the editing patterm. See WP:ANI. --Irpen 20:39, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Alex Kov

User:Alex Kov is very interested in Kievan princes, Sviatoslav I of Kiev, Yaroslav I the Wise and Vladimir I of Kiev in all these articles he is trying to insert the images with the Prince's crests, that appear to be an original research. As an example see this, he also is interested in History of the Cossacks, where he is trying to blank pieces in the History of the Cossacks like this and in Holodomor, there he is trying to insert Category:Genocide [like this. He also edits Japanese articles inserting interwiki to Ukrainian language wiki.

The IP 133.41.4.46 and 133.41.4.47 are doing exactly the same - insert crests for the Princes, blank part of History of the Cossacks, insert uk interwiki to Japanese articles and recently edit war on Holodomor trying to insert the Genocide category. User:133.41.4.46 was blocked for 3RR violation on Holodomor.

Immediately appeared User:LuisMatosRibeiro who reverted the article to the version preferrable to User:Alex Kov and blocked User:133.41.4.46. The accounts User:LuisMatosRibeiro, User:80.128.251.204 and User:82.155.62.68 appear to be a single article accounts entirely devoted to Holodomor there they are arguing that it wad genocide and are trying to insert the category.

Finally User:Oleksiy is editing the same princes as IP 133.41.4.46. Looking on the histories http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Yaroslav_I_the_Wise&action=history and http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Vladimir_I_of_Kiev&action=history , we can see that his edits are changed in a few hours to the edits of 133.41.4.46 supporting similar edits.

If all these accounts are sock of the same person, then it is violation of WP:SOCK - editing the same article from multiple accounts, creating an impression of a strong support. There also avoidance of a block and 3RR. abakharev 09:57, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
