The previous checkuser request for AWeidman was made during mediation and hence declined. It has been alleged at an ongoing arbitration, by me and others, that DPeterson, RalphLender, JonesRD, SamDavidson, MarkWood, and JohnsonRon are sockpuppets of the now largely-inactive AWeidman. It would be useful for the arbitrators to know whether checkuser evidence supports this. Evidence for sockpuppetry is presented in the following sections of the arb case:
- The Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy page was created as an advertisement by one of its practitioners
- DPeterson et al. engage in meat-puppetry
- Evidence tending to support concerns over puppetry
- DPeterson et al. are one person
User:Shotwell summarized this case better than I in his original request:
These accounts are involved in extensive debates at Advocates for Children in Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, John Bowlby, and Candace Newmaker. The talk pages on these articles show that they share the exact same opinions on arcane issues such as redundant "See Also" links, make highly similar formatting errors, uniformly link to the wrong pages or non-existant templates when trying to link to wikipedia policies such as WP:V, and so forth. They uniformly agree on content matters and quickly revert anything that does not satisfy their expectations. Note that all of the accounts were created around the same time that mediation was taking place on John Bowlby concerning the inclusion of information about Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) into the article. Each one of them contributed to that debate on the side of including the information about DDP. DDP is a form of therapy that is advocated, taught, and practiced by AWeidman's organization.[5] Shortly thereafter, they voted for deletion in an AfD concerning Attachment therapy.[6] The vast majority of these users' edits have been to insert or very strongly defend claims and external links pertaining to DDP, AWeidman's research, and AWeidman's organization. This has happened in articles ranging from John Bowlby to Child abuse. The most conclusive evidence concerning DPeterson involves two edits in which DPeterson and AWeidman add their signatures to edits by 68.66.160.228.[7][8]. While there is no issue with simply using two accounts, AWeidman acts as a separate entity in order to create false consensus.[9] The IP address 68.66.160.228 appears to come from Williamsville, NY and AWeidman's organization is based in Williamsville, NY. Their contrib histories and comments on talk pages show many very striking similarities. I recently compiled a small list of evidence for a suspected sock-puppetry report in order to highlight these similarities. The recommendation was that it go to WP:RFCU.[10] shotwell 23:59, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

- There's no reason for this request to be here; the checkuser was run during the course of the arbitration, and has shown Confirmed for all but AWeidman (who is Stale) and RalphLender who is not IP-related. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 04:19, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

- The mediator involved in these disputes has critizied shotwell for filing this claim as a way to stop debate and as being frivolous. SamDavidson 16:35, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- "This is a frivolous complaint. It was set up to get even for an ongoing dispute between Sarner and Shotwell and severl other editors...all of whom they name here. As the mediator has indicated, this is to the ongoing dispute. Since it is unjustified, I will remove the tag from my home page as since it represents an act of vandalism. The mediator in this case has labeled Shotwell's actions as being a "frivolous complaint." See: See mediator's comments regarding this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Mediation_Cabal/Cases/2006-10-07_Advocates_for_Children_in_Therapy#Discussion MarkWood 19:31, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
