[edit] Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A: I plan to work on enforcing WP:VANDALS policy to stop vandalism from becoming a big problem for this site. I also intend on take part in is any Wiki Projects this great site has to offer. I will do any work that is requested of me doing. If another WP:ADMIN ask me to do something I will do it. I have a can-do attiude.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: My best contributions is to the NEISD schools . Because I attend high school in the North East Independent School District in San Antonio,Texas. I contribute to some edits on a few schools every now and then. I also work on a few edits on rock music band articles.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: I had a one little conflict with a guy on a Eagles Box Set Album article. I dont know what his name was or anything. He kept reverting my edits on the article. He sort of angered me a little. How I delt with it was to calm down, and take a deep breath. Taking a deep breath makes me relax. Its not a big deal, its not like the end of the world or anything. This is what users should do , and not be all crazed making threats to people. I would calm down ,and take a deep breath if any user makes me in a conflict. Also I will have mediation with said user so we could talk it out in calm-civil manner instead of attacking each other.

[edit] Support
- Support At least being enthusiastic is a start, it's never a bad thing. However, I think you do need to participate more on Wikipedia and get a good understanding on how everything works on Wikipedia before you submit another RfA. Yamamoto Ichiro 会話 02:53, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Support The opposes have some good advice. You have good traits from looking at a few of your contribs. Thanks for the good work and don't be discouraged. Your good work is appreciated. JungleCat Shiny!/Oohhh! 03:00, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Oppose
- Oppose - sorry, not enough experience yet. jj137 (talk) 02:10, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose 120 edits is very far away from the range of edits you should have for an admin. Also, considering that you have barley used an edit summary... Sorry :( - Milk's Favorite Cookie 02:13, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for submitting your RfA, While I applaud enthusiasm, I'm afraid an editor with < 1000 edits does not yet possess sufficient knowledge/experience to become an admin. Noms with < 1000 edits may find the following advice helpful.
- Please read WP:Admin
- Please read the admin reading list.
- Generally, It has been my experience that it takes at least 3,000 edits in a variety of areas to learn policy and guidelines well enough to attempt adminship. Also, noms returning after an unsuccessful RfA should wait at least another 3,000 edits and 3 months before trying again. Noms need to show the ability to contribute a number of significant edits to build the encyclopedia.
- The Admin tools allow the user to block and unblock other editors, delete and undelete pages and protect and unprotect pages. Noms will therefore do well to gain experience and familiarity with such areas as WP:AIV, WP:AFD, WP:CSD, Wikipedia:Protection policy, and WP:BLOCK to learn when to do these things.
- Adminship inevitably leads one to 1) need to explain clearly the reasons for one's decisions, 2) need to review one's decisions and change one's mind when it is reasonable to do so, 3) need to review one's decisions and stand firm when it is reasonable to do so, 4) need to negotiate a compromise. Admins need a familiarity with dispute resolution.
- My suggestion to any nom with < 1000 edits would be to withdraw and try again in another 3 months and 3000 edits. I recommend taking part in RfA discussions to help learn from the expereinces of others. Many noms have found it helpful to obtain an Editor Review before submitting their RfA. Cheers and best of luck on the next one. Dlohcierekim 02:19, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose Sorry but I don't think you will succeed as you only have about 120 edits. Please stay longer and rack up more mainspace edits and come back. Also take the advice above. Best of luck! Swirlboy39 (talk) 02:39, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose: You're doing well without the Administrator tools, which is a great thing. One does not need Administrator tools to enforce Wikipedia policy or to help get things done. Enthusiasm is always great which is why I hope you do not get too disheartened by this. x42bn6 Talk Mess 02:59, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose per all the concerns above. --Siva1979Talk to me 03:31, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose You need a lot more edits and much more experience, and I suggest that you start providing edit summaries as much as possible. Thank you for offering to help, but reapply in a few months and a few thousand more good edits and I will gladly support you. Timmeh! 03:32, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Neutral
- Neutral per above. You seem like you will become a great admin, and you look like the type of person who won't abuse the tools, but I can't support because you have a few mainspace edits and the lack of time. Maybe in the future, when you have more experience, I will vote support.--Antonio Lopez (talk) 04:11, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Neutral Come back in a few months and I might support (depends on my computer). But even if you don't make it, I want you to get a combine and race the Amish (if you're wondering what this means, read my userpage). RC-0722 communicator/kills 05:33, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Neutral per above. I think, with time, you will make a great admin. Please come back in the future, when you have more experience. Best of luck in the future, Midorihana~iidesune? 08:08, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
