[edit] imdanumber1
Final (3/7/2) Ended 17:11, 2006-08-15 (UTC)
imdanumber1 (talk · contribs) – I am nominating myself for adminship because even if I don't qualify for adminship I know that I can still make Wikipedia a better place. Besides, I have been a Wikipedian for quite a while now. Since I know about the rules and regulations about editing I think that adminship can help me improve this further. imdanumber1 17:11, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

- Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
- A: Currently, I am in a couple of WikiProjects and I think that these are the main way to help improve articles and their contents. I also think talk pages help, since it is much easier to discuss something before a decision is made. Also, backlogging can also help since people need up-to-date and citable information. That is what Wikipedia is all about.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A: I am proud of these articles: 180th Street-Bronx Park (IRT White Plains Road Line) and the IND Rockaway Line because these are the first two I have created. Of course, I have to give credit to other editors for cleaning up and helping me and such.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: I have had one problem in the past. It was over the IRT 42nd Street Shuttle article. I moved the article to a new page with a new name. I should blame the mess on me though, because if I would have discussed the situation maybe things could have went a little smoother. Thank goodness for talk pages; they do make life a little somewhat easier.

P.S. Voters, when deciding, please include a summary of your vote, regardless of what your decision is. This will help me improve as to how I have been contributing to Wikipedia, also so I can learn what mistakes I made, and so I can do a better job in the future, whether I qualify or not. Thank you.
- Support
- Support, sounds like a nice person.--Andeh 19:13, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Moral Support First off, you're to be commended for your eagerness and willingness to help Wikipedia become a better place. I believe I can speak for the community in hoping that you stick around, for you seem to be a great user as well as an excellent future administrator. As Grandmasterka suggested, try an editor review if you want more detailed feedback about how you can improve. I also humbly suggest admin coaching which is an Esperanza program that will pair future administrators with current administrators. This sort of mentoring will allow to become better versed in policies and administrative duties. Cheers hoopydinkConas tá tú? 20:15, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
Immoral support, per Hoopydink. I believe you'd benefit from an editor review, as suggested above, where other users (including myself) would comment on your contributions and ways in which you could improve yourself. RandyWang (chat me up/fix me up) 21:09, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

- Oppose per above. Really way to soon to be considered for adminship. DrunkenSmurf 19:38, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose per above. Michael 19:39, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose Far too soon to be requesting admin powers; you want to be looking at the editor review section instead. (aeropagitica) (talk) 19:41, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose Far too soon. but do not be discouraged by this. try again after three months. --Siva1979Talk to me 20:50, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Neutral
- Neutral to avoid pile-on. Candidate is too new and has not participated enough to show that he or she has the experience necessary. Suggest nominee withdraws and joins Editor review. Agent 86 19:46, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Neutral per Agent 86. Please close this per WP:SNOW. Ifnord 20:07, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
