[edit] WikiCats
Final (0/9/0) Ended 14:30, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
WikiCats (talk · contribs) – Wikicats is a great non-admin and I think they are up to it. Nathannoblet 06:13, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here:This is the hardest page that I have edited. Firstly I would like to thank editor Nathannoblet his nomination. I enjoy editing articles. Administration entails supervising other editors. I enjoy working with such a vast number of talented people that I would feel uncomfortable about about making decisions that may impact on their valuable contribution. For the matter of acceptance, I do not accept. --WikiCats 09:43, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores do you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog and Category:Administrative backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
- A:According to my senior admins., those duties that they advise.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any with which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A:My my most recent article Mel Gibson and Anti-Semitism (a work in progress) because I am an Australian and I like Mel Gibson.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: No
- General comments
You are a vicious little lot aren't you. --WikiCats 11:46, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
I'm not going to be spoken to like that. --WikiCats 11:49, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
Listen guys. I didn't ask for this nomination. Say what you want. I'm going back to editing. Have fun. --
I seems what I'm getting from you guys is - "You didn't set your self up to be an admin." Well I guess I didn't. If, in what seems unlikely I was accepted by the community I would obtain the skills to do the job. I realise that I am not in a position to run around now setting myself up as admin. material.
If that is want me to do then give me a few hours. --WikiCats 12:36, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

- Oppose — Lack of effort in this RfA, lack of knowledge in policy (FU images on User page). thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 10:55, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- You must be kidding me. Nomination smells like trolling. – Chacor 10:56, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose — Few articles edited in WP namespace, edited many times: looks like an attemp to enlagre the editcount; very few talks too. No vandal fight. Why does he want to be a sysop?. —Argentino (talk/cont.) 11:08, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose both the candidate and nominator have no idea about adminship (see nathannoblet's two self-nominations within a period of about a month). I suggest withdrawal. --Alex (Talk) 11:35, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose, very weak answers. - Mailer Diablo 11:48, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

- Strong Oppose I came across this editor yesterday, trying to add a virtulently anti-semitic website to the Jew article. He's trying to justify adding a "controversies" section to that article which should contain the website (because "it is opposed by most Jewish groups") and the Mel Gibson spat. He created Mel Gibson and Anti-Semitism as a POV fork from the main Mel Gibson article to whitewash Gibson's anti-semitic ranting. See for example [1]. These edits are unworthy of any editor. There is no way we should allow a WP:POV warrior with such a lack of historical perspective extra tools. The response to the oppose contributors on this RfA demonstrates an immaturity that would ill-suit an admin and the answers to the standard questions are at best weak. - "trying to add" is in fact under debate. Go back and enter the debate. If you have got a guideline for anti-Semitic then I would be happy to debate it right here. Also are you also aware of Afd. --WikiCats 12:47, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, thanks I'm aware of AfD; I've already Prod'ed your WP:POV-fork of the Mel Gibson article. My point is not that you have so far been successful in adding your "controversies" section to the Jew article but that these proposed changes appear to reflect your point of view and giving additional, destructive tools to you would be harmful to the project. Gwernol 13:02, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- Please look above. We all have a point of view and that is why we debate. It is what the Wikipedia is based on. --WikiCats 13:11, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- If you are not happy with "Gibson is a prankster who suffers from bipolar disorder." then re-edit it. It is a clear clue to the fact that Mel Gibson set up the publicity stunt so he could say that the Jews started the World Wars. Do you know he is an Actor. Listen carefully to his recent apology. --WikiCats 13:04, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- I still need a guideline for anti-Semitic. --WikiCats 13:13, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

- Oppose - the day a troll becomes an admin is the day Wikipedia will collapse. Moreschi 13:19, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
I don't think you guys get it. I don't want the job Please read the debate. I'm going to bed.--WikiCats 13:30, 14 October 2006 (UTC) Neutral
