Whytecypress (talk · contribs) – My name is of course Whytecypress. I've been editing for a good sum of time, but have even more wiki experience from Memory Alpha, the first Wiki project I was involved in. I am requesting Adminship for the purposes of blocking certain recurring vandals and other tasks that I will explain when I answer the questions. My main Non-admin goal on Wikipedia is categorizing articles to aid Wiki Projects and for the general ideal of a well-ordered Encyclopædia. I doubt, however that I will reveive adminship due to my relatively low count and my work on the Inheritance Trilogy articles.--Whytecypress 22:58, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

- Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores do you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog and Category:Administrative backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
- A: Protecting Wikipedia's "Frontier",Backwater articles are prone to vandalism, Say an article on a short-story or an insignificant school. I wish to stop vandals that edit userpages without consent of the user.(Not ban them, as it is generally with good intentions, but informa them to ask permission first). Also, I wish to delete defunct pages like exported "farm articles"(After consensus, of course)and eliminate nonsense pages per the speedy deletion policy. If there's anything else that needs to be done, I'd gladly help.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any with which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A:
My contributions are the type that are not noticed. Small edits to articles, adding links here and there, and non-mainspace stuff, suggesting and discussing article changes on Talk pages, adding rogue articles to categories, and making small articles to fit redlinks. I guess you could say my greaest visible contributions are creating Inheritance Trilogy articles. But I know that has little credibility in the community.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: I have had no real conflicts on Wikipedia. However, in my older wiki experiences, I've had a bit of stress, For example, I made a minor article on Memory Alpha. THe negative comments I got were twice as long as the article. I followed their suggestions peacefully. I got pushed around by admin's a bit but it was nothing major. I believe that this project is forfeit if it's users do not act with courtesey, Including a Higer authority regulating impoliteness. We all share a common goal, to create an encyclopedia. We should respect our differing ideologies and use them to further our purpose.
