[edit] Whiteandnerdy111
Candidate withdrew. Final: (0/7/1); Ended 13:30, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Whiteandnerdy111 (talk · contribs) - I wish to nominate myself for the mop. I have around five hundred edits, and two months experence on Wikipedia. I am a hardworking, decicated editior, who can help Wikipedia in a MUCH greater way if I had the mop. I try to help in any way possible. Recently, I have tried to help maintain WP:RfArb, only to get yelled at. However, I were acting by what it said "Clerk Helpers" can do informally without a Official Clerk watching. I left this role when threats of much stronger action were made (after stating the correct facts), and now I clerk WP:RFCU and WP:CHU. From this, I have simply learn to just walk away from where I am not needed. Wikipedia is a GREAT place to lookup info for projects, and I think the tools will allow me to help much greater! If I succeed, I will help out with the WP:XfD procedure, as well as help keep Wikipedia's most UNwelcome people under control (the Vandals). Eariar today, I dealt with a now indefinitely blocked user, who was attacking a newbie, and a portal I just created. I would like to thank everyone for reading this long statement, look forward to helping Wikipedia in a new way, and wish everyone a Merry Xmas! Regards -- Whiteandnerdy111 (talk) 05:46, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- I withdraw this nomination. I accept the facts that I am too young (in edits) to be here for this reason. Thank you, and sorry for wasting your time -- Whiteandnerdy111 (talk) 06:18, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A: As I said above, I intend to take part in the advanced part of [[WP:VANDAL|vandal fighting, as well as help out with deleting unneeded pages through the WP:XfD procedure. Also, I will be able to be a fair and just person in reviewing unblock requests, and blocking them to start with.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A:I think my best edits here have been to High School Musical (HSM) related articles. I am a big fan of HSM. I believe the HSM articles are underdeveloped, and just need a bit of working on, and they could, one day, be on WP:FAC! Other articles I have worked on are the Australian article of National Bingo Night, and The Mint (Australia)
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A:I were recently involved in a conflict about Arbitration Clerks. I were being accused of improperly opening cases, however according to the clerk role page, I were totally in the right. I left the clerk helper role once I got a final warning, and found work elsewhere. I will deal with disputes involving me calmly, without flaming, yelling, escalating matters higher unnecessarily and the like.
Additional Questions from Nat
- 4. What is the difference between banning and indefinite blocking?
- A:
- 5. If you ran into a extreme POV pusher, and he/she has not committed any vandalism, what steps would you take to deal with this individual?
- A:
- 6. How do you understand WP:NFC as it applies to promotional images and other non-free portraits of living people used for the purpose of showing what the subject looks like?
- A:
- 7. Would you be willing to add yourself to Category:Wikipedia administrators open to recall if promoted? Why or why not?
- A:
- 8. What is your interpretation of WP:IAR and under what circumstances should one follow that policy?
- A:

[edit] Oppose
- Oppose per lack of experience. I strongly advise that you stop trying to gain these roles of "power" (clerk at ArbCom, clerk at RFCU, admin, etc.) and focus, instead, on developing as an overall Wikipedian. Metros (talk) 06:08, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Neutral
- Neutral You're very enthusiastic, but I'm afraid I can't support because I don't feel you have enough experience. Please try to spend a bit more time around and learn the intricacies of Wikipedia. Master of Puppets Care to share? 06:05, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
