[edit] Styrofoam1994
FINAL (0/0/1); withdrawn per WP:SNOW by EVula at 22:45, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Styrofoam1994 (talk · contribs) - I am an established user, editing since 2006 when I first visited this site and encountered a factual error, and I have contributed to many articles in various subjects. To be frank, I have run into some problems with copyright laws on this site. However, this was caused by my eagerness to provide excellent/descriptive photographs to this site. I can recognize vandalism relatively quickly, and whenever I see it I eliminate it even if I am not logged in. I am learning very quickly to add templates when necessary and the info-boxes when appropriate. This is my first nomination as an administrator, and my fellow editors have suggested that I become one too.
[edit] Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A:
I would like to take part in enforcing vandalism laws, and also do my best in my editing work as always. Vandalism is always a problem for Wikipedia, a source of information that many people depend on (it is one of the most popular sites on the web these days). If information is misguiding, then millions of people will think wrong just because of a single person's edit of vandalism. For example, take a look at Francium. On the first day it became a featured article, somebody replaced all its valuable information with a very inappropriate, perverted picture (which I would not like to talk about) and caption. He subsequently got banned, as he should have been.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A:
All my contributions were about the same, so I do not really have a "best" contribution. However I think all my edits were rightful, and many of them are still at the "top" in the history. One especially good one was when User Rws_killer vandalized many articles and I reverted all of them while adding more information to them
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A:
I have dealt with a user who had a fit with me and vandalized many things. He also made a sockpuppet after he got banned for that; he got banned after I alerted another administrator of his activity. If I see any users like this, I would immediately alert them to the administrators, or alert the users myself with a thorough explanation and a threat ("Walk softly and carry a big stick", as Theodore Roosevelt was said to have said).

- I like your eagerness to fight vandalism, but you don't appear to have made any posts to WP:AIV, which suggests a lack of experience in the area. You also need to try to leave edit summaries more often. Epbr123 (talk) 22:41, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
