[edit] Saint-Paddy
Final: (0/4/0); Ended 02:58, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
Saint-Paddy (talk · contribs) – Wikipedia user since June 13, 2003. Practically on here 24/7, however, usually only makes small one or two sentence edits. Contributes images, mostly those of corporations under fair use rules. Nominated self once before. Also admin on En-Wikinews under username User:TUFKAAP Saint-Paddy 02:03, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here:
I accept my nomination. --Saint-Paddy 02:19, 14 January 2007 (UTC) I withdraw my nomination, as seeing this will go now where. --Saint-Paddy 02:55, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
I wish not to be criticized on my low edit count. I read Wikipedia most of the time. Most of the time, I don't have information to contribute but when I do, I make sure to add it. Not to be snooty, but I made my first edit at time when we didn't have Monobook and there were around a 100 admins. I am Wikipediaholic, I just don't edit. Personally, I like to read more then write, that doesn't stop from still writing in article though or correcting spelling errors or cleaning up pages. Just remember to take that into account.
- Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores do you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog and Category:Administrative backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any with which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A: I don't pick favorites. I'm not that type of person.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: No. I have temper problems sometimes, but I believe I can react coolly if I relax and remember that stuff like this will happen.
- General comments
- See Saint-Paddy's edit summary usage with mathbot's tool. For the edit count, see the talk page.
Discussion
- Hrrm ... he didn't even use an edit summary when posting his RFA, probably his most important edit to date? Any reason? --Cyde Weys 02:28, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Oppose
- Oppose Statement, answers, long periods of low activity, low WP edits, low talk edits, low general edit count, and self-confessed "temper problems". Sarah 02:29, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose per Sarah. Especially the poor answers. --Majorly 02:33, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose You say you want to be an admin to fight vandalism, but you have never made a single report to WP:AIV. Please come back when you are more experienced and have a strong need for the admin tools. Regularly visiting WP:RFA will give you a good idea of what is usually expected of candidates. - Strong oppose. Even worse than the widespread belief that adminship is something everyone should eventually get if they are good, you're telling us that we can't criticize you for not editing very much, because you read the encyclopedia. If I had to pick a stupid qualification someone would advance as a reason for becoming an admin, reading Wikipedia would not have even occured to me. -Amarkov blahedits 02:53, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
