PoinDexta1 (talk · contribs) - I believe I could be an essential asset and valued staff member at Wikipedia. I continually crackdown on vandals and assist new users with their first times at Wikipedia. I would like to be an administrator at Wikipedia and I have a great passion for Wikipedia and would like to contribute even more. PoinDexta1 08:20, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:

1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
A: I intend to contribute to the vandalism area by continuously attempting to crack down on persistent vandals.
2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
A: My best contributions is the vandalism I have seen, reverted, and contacted the vandal with sufficient information on not to do it again.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A: No, but if I do run into conflicts with a fellow Wikipedian I will attempt to remedy the situation by finding the cause of the problem and trying to rectify it.

  1. Oppose for now. Your intentions appear to be good, but is apparent even from your initial statement that you lack the necessary knowledge of what adminship entails, or even what it is that you are requesting (I refer in the latter to your reference to becoming a "staff member"; this is not what you are here asking for).   2. Oppose Too few edits, too little use of edit summaries, lack of participation at WP:XFD and noticeboards, lack of extensive article creation and/or discussion. MBisanz talk 08:37, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
  3. C'mon, you have only 400 edits, and over half of them are to userspace. Please come back in 4-5 months, when you have at least 1000 mainspace edits and over 2000 edits total, otherwise you have no chance to succeed at all. MaxSem(Han shot first!) 08:42, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
