[edit] Od Mishehu
Final (25/1/2); Originally scheduled to end 15:57, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
Od Mishehu (talk · contribs) - I came across User:Od Mishehu today, when I noticed WP:ACC had been moved, for deletion. I thought it was odd, that an admin would move it, then request CSD... So, I looked into User:Od Mishehu's logs / contribs.... Man! They've been here, for just over 2 years, and, have just about 9200 contribs (including deleted). Excellent stuff, that they could help out with even more, with the correct bits...

That's just from a rather brief review. From what I've seen, Od Mishehu appears to be civil, and, has a good grasp on our guidelines and policies.
I think, Od Mishehu would make a great admin. SQLQuery me! 15:57, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A:
- Speedy deletions - I seem to be around frequently when there's a lot of stuff at WP:CSD. I do a lot of Newpage patrolling - probably the main source of CSD taggings - and I definitely tag lots of pages with CSD, almost all of them being deleted.
- Protected edits - I have made several protected edit requests - here, here, here and others - and I also handled a few anon requests for semi-protected pages. I feel confident I can help there.
- Page protection and Blocking - to help deal with vandals (both of them) and edit wars (WP:RFPP only) - In nearly all cases I've requested it, requests were fulfilled.
- Account creation - I've been active at WP:ACC, and the extra admin ability to create similar names will be helpful.
- A:
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: I haven't done much in the way of content edits, and those I did do are mostly translations from Hebrew Wikipedia. However, I can claim to a little more of the "behind the scenes" activity:
- Messages for users - I have my own welcome message (as some users, including most of the 136 accounts I've created, have gotten); my message for users who create disambig pages without marking them as such, etc.
- Newpage patrolling - is the most important method for finding problematic pages, and either dealing with them or marking them gfor other people to deal with.
- A: I haven't done much in the way of content edits, and those I did do are mostly translations from Hebrew Wikipedia. However, I can claim to a little more of the "behind the scenes" activity:
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A:Depends on what you mean. As is clear from my talk page archives, I did actually make the mistakes of doing a big series of edits which I later realized I shouldn't have - after I got no answer on the 2 main talk pages related to the edit. In retrospect, I realized that I was wrong due to assuming no response means "go ahead and do it", and in not placing a link to the question in a few more places.

- Normally wouldn't bother jumping on a bandwagon, but since this is a strangely inactive RFA, thought I'd add my 2¢. I first ran across Od Mishehu only recently at WP:ACC, but researching his other contributions, I'll echo Shalom above; already an admin in all but name and buttons. --barneca (talk) 22:17, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- Per Barneca I support this oddly inactive RfA as well. Alas I can only offer my 2 pence. But at the current exchange rate that's worth 4¢ !!! :) Good luck. Pedro : Chat 23:35, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Oppose
- Oppose. Sorry to spoil the party, but I cannot accept that that someone who would speedily delete articles such as Bertilo Wennergren and Mark Stanhope can be trusted with admin tools. Phil Bridger (talk) 12:44, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- About Mark Stanhole, look at the version of the page as it was before I tagged it - this is someone I've never heard of, and it didn't look convincing.
- About Bertilo Wennergren, the only claim to notability was through redlinks - I wouldn't have deleted it myself, but left it with a tag for the review of an other admin. Od Mishehu 13:47, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Neutral
- Two problems: (1) Still leaves out edit summaries sometimes. (2) Not much work in creating or expanding articles. But overall, meets basic standards, so I will not oppose. Bearian (talk) 17:37, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- A bit concerned about a few of the article tagged for speedy deletion in your last 250 contributions but certainly not enough to oppose for with many correct speedies. Advise a little more caution sometimes in using speedy deletion especially once you get the tools. Davewild (talk) 16:06, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
