Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
- A. I did linguistics at university and have good writing and English skills. I will be helpful in editing wikipedia articles for this reason. Also, as a PHP software developer, I understand the both the contribution model and the software that powers Wikipedia. I will be useful in helping to generate templates and with the other technical aspects of Wikipedia for this reason. As an administrator, my involvement in defending the project against vandals and participating in scheduled clean-up days would increase.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A. I wrote an article on my favourite bass player Anthony Jackson which I believe is as comprehensive a page on his life and music as exists on the internet. I believe he is a great figure and beongs in Wikipedia.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A. I have never been directly involved in conflicts, though I have followed them between other people.
