[edit] Madchester

final (13/0/0) ending 22:35 30 July 2005 (UTC) Madchester has 3,100 edits and has been here since January. He reverts vandalism a lot. Near 650 edits in the user talk and talk namespaces. I feel he would benifit from admin powers.Howabout1 Talk to me! 22:37, July 23, 2005 (UTC)

I cordially accept this nomination :-) --Madchester 03:30, July 24, 2005 (UTC)

  10. Neutral for now, as I would like to see this RfA unfold before I cast my vote, but the impression I get from the user is positive. As nothing came up, I hereby change my vote to Support. --Sn0wflake 15:58, 28 July 2005 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)
A. I've been actively voting in the VFDs and reverting changes from vandalism for a while now, and I believe that an adminship would allow me to conduct these activities more efficently.
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. Probably my work for Coldplay (bio, singles, albums, etc.) and The Amazing Race (season-by-season info, placements etc.) They're both topics that have interested me. There's a wealth of information across the net, but its just painstaking to find pages that are comprehensive and regularly updated. When I was looking up info on both those topics, I wasn't impressed with any one source, since there were always gaps in information. So I feel proud knowing that I contributed both those areas and seeing them become well-developed articles.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A. Occasionally, like in the editing some of the projects aformentioned, but it's never been much of an issue for me. I communicate with the individual in question, state my concerns and let it develop from there. My number 1 rule is not to enforce my beliefs/opinions upon others, and I feel that it's a trait that has earned this nomination. This has allowed me to avoid any serious confrontations with any Wiki users.
