Hello32020 (talk · contribs) – I have been a Wikipedia user since July 2006, and have been an editor since 2005. I am a proud participant in Wikipedia: WikiProject Tropical Cyclones and Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history. I have started hundreds of stubs on locations. I have also contributed to recent Tropical Cyclones, particulary those in the Atlantic, and a lesser ammout in the East Pacific. I started the articles on the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict and the 2006 Gaza conflict. I have made 169 edits to the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict article.

If you see that I do not have many recent contributions, that is because I took a short wikibreak.

Questions for the candidate

Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
A: I plan on largely contributing to the speedy deletion of articles that fit the criteria. I also plan to close Wikipedia: Articles for deletion and a upserge of activity, by myself, there. I also plan on resolving NPOV disputes.
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A: I am pleased with my contributions to 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict, in my opinion, a NPOV fashion. I also am happy with my contributions to other military articles, that I have created. I also am pleased with my contributions to the 2006 Atlantic hurricane season and other current events contributions. I'm working on User:Hello32020/List of Pennsylvania hurricanes currently and I believe it will be a very good article when it's published to Wikipedia.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A: In the 2006 atlantic hurricane season me and some other users had a conflict with some other users, over whether Tropical Storm Chris (2006) was notable for an article. Gratefully, a user suggested IRC as a source to resolve the dispute. I participated in the resolution, as we came to a descison to develop the article on a user sub page. I plan to use this as a place of resolution in the future, if a quick resolution cannot be developed on the talkpage.

  1. Oppose: Sorry, while I'd like to support it seems to me your creation of articles like David Witt, and subsequently asking for a DRV on it when it was A7'd, as well as asking for a DRV on a merge/redirect, means you don't have enough process knowledge. – Chacor 15:34, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

  2. Oppose - having looked at your contributions, I see you need to make greater use of the edit summary. Also, your user talk edits are relatively low; as an admin you need to make more contact with other users.   3. Oppose: Sorry, but your lack of participation Wikipedia:Articles for Deletion (3 so far) do not lead me to believe that you have the required familiarity with Wikipedia's notability guidelines or policies to be able to deal with the more borderline cases on speedy deletion. You also don't seem to have experience dealing with vandals or abusive editors from your lack of issuing warnings on User_talk pages. Feel free to come back in a few months time after you've walked a bit on the darker side of Wikipedia (without losing your mind). --  Netsnipe  ►  15:44, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
  4. Oppose 2331 edits since July is quite impressive. Less impressive is the lack of edit summaries against most of them. Of those edits, only 52 have been to user Talk pages; you will need to increase this through vandal warnings, advice given/received from other editors, etc. Talking to editors is a major part of an admin's duties. The final piece of evidence is the misuse of the deletion review process. An admin and an admin candidate should have a working knowledge of policy and procedure or be able to refer to the appropriate pages before taking decisions that turn out to be questionable. I suggest another editor review to highlight the areas in which you need to improve before returning here in ~3000 edits/three months with evidence to show that you have improved.
