[edit] Geo.plrd
Final (0/8/1) ended 22:01, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Geo.plrd (talk · contribs) – I am requesting adminship because I want to become more involved in keeping this place running. My group affiliation are on my user page. Some of the articles on this site should be removed, the Clean Up Taskforce of which I am a member, has tons of articles, some of which need to be deleted. I hate vandalism, it destroys trust in this site, as a admin I would make sure that vandals are punished. Please post questions, and i will do my absolute best to answer them. I also am a someone with restraint, in disputes I mediate as a Cabalist I listen to both sides Talk Geo.plrd 20:21, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

- Oppose, 29 edits? Suggest withdrawal. --Rory096 20:45, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose 1 main space edit. You really should withdraw this - you won't get to be an admin until you've actually made a significant contribution for people to judge you by. --Tango 20:56, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose, while you are clearly looking to improve Wikipedia, candidates for adminship generally need a bare minimum of at least one thousand edits to recieve public approval. People will see you as inexperienced at your current state, but if you come back in 3 months after proving you have what it takes and get involved in the community through areas such as WP:AFD, then I will support. I would recommend you withdraw this, as stated above, and work on making more edits until you next run for adminship. Remember that it's not all about numbers though - it's more about the quality of edits, so don't feel the need to avoid the preview button! :) Cowman109Talk 20:58, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

- Oppose Thanks for your interest but please withdraw. ( I have over 5000 edits and I feel I have not been around long enough to be admin, please bide your time:-)Eagle talk 21:33, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose small number of contributions mean it is not possible to judge your experience with policy and guidelines. Gwernol 21:47, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
- A: Where ever I can. Geo.plrd 20:29, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A: I am pleased to be a Mediator, by mediating disputes about articles, I make this a better place. Geo.plrd 20:29, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: I try not to displease people, I do not see any conflicts in the future, but i will submit conflicts to mediation, and will be willing to compromise.Geo.plrd 20:29, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- 4 (by RadioKirk). You have 31 total edits as I type this; you jumped straight into proposed deletion patrol, asked to be a mediator, and already have been "assigned" (in your words) a mediation case. Do we know you by another user name?
- A: No you do not know me by a different name Geo.plrd 21:57, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
