Flaminglawyer (talk · contribs) - Hello. I am Flaminglawyer, a small member of the vast number of editors on Wikipedia. My account is about 4 months old, I believe, and though my first few edits were of vandalist-intent, I now regret those edits because they degrade my social standing in Wikipedia and the world. I would like to become an administrator because I spend a substantial part of my life on Wikipedia and would like to be able to make a positive difference in that which I spend my time on. I have always wanted to be able to block/semi-block pages because they need it, instead of having to beg an admin to do it for me. I have also, at times, felt the responsibility to block users who repeatedly vandalize pages, which has had me feeling helpless at times because of my low status in the Wikipedian community. Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:

1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
A: I intend to take part in admin work such as temporarily blocking users/IP addresses with vandalism intent, protecting/semi-protecting pages from vandalism, and voting (if that is an admin activity) in matters such as the Arbitration Committee Elections.
2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
A: I created a quality article on the elementary school of which I am an alumni, Riverdale Elementary School (Tennessee). It was later redirected to the city in which it is located, Germantown. I was not pleased by this. (see next question)
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A: Yes, I have. I once had a short-lived debate with a suer named SolidPlaid over whether or not Elementary School articles should be merged with their associated city/town. My argument is unavailable, as his/her account has been deleted, but it basicly stated that a Wikipedia article provides an unbiased look at a school. His argument was: his argument. I did not agree with his opinion, but accepted it as a fact because I did not want to start a case of flaming. That argument ended there.

  5. Oppose. Not enough experience yet. We can't yet adequately assess your knowledge of policies and procedures. Answers to questions also show that there is more to be learned, for example, pages are "protected/semi-protected" instead of "blocked/semi-blocked". I recommend looking over the policies to get a better handle on everything, spend some more time gaining experience and trying another RFA in a few months and a few thousand edits, and withdrawing this RFA.
