[edit] Extranet
Final (1/7/1); 05:18, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Extranet (talk ยท contribs) - I, Extranet, am nominating myself for adminship for the second time. I have been registered on Wikipedia since October 2006, but before that, I have previously edited a few articles without an account. I am especially proud of my work with the Birthday Committee, Wikipedia Signpost, WikiProject Brisbane and of course WikiProject Australia. I also enjoy monitoring recent changes and watch for any sudden vandalism that may occur, so that it can be reverted. I also contribute to WP:AIV and WP:AFD, but also enjoy helping other Wikipedians at CAT:HELP. After running a bot, I have found a better approach to editing and creating articles and I do strongly believe that the administrator tools will help me more throughout my time here at Wikipedia. Thank you, Extranet (Talk | Contribs) 22:29, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here: I accept. Extranet (Talk | Contribs) 22:48, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What sysop chores do you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog and Category:Administrative backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
- A: I would like to help out with WP:RFP and CAT:SPEEDY, but in particular WP:AIV as vandalism fighting is in my field of interest.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any with which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A: I am pleased with most of my edits, but also my created articles. I do anticipate to create more articles on behalf of some WikiProjects. Some of my outstanding creations/edits include:
-
- Orrcon
- Greenslopes Private Hospital
- OptiVISOR
- and more..

- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: Yes, I have been in many conflicts with Wikipedians, but in particular vandals. I have resolved all of my conflicts in a non-violent and peaceful way, and will continue to do so with any future ones. I do not try to bite the newcomers, but in some cases of serious vandalism, there is actions that we do have to take to stop the vandal.
- General comments

Discussion
Support
- Weak Support. The ideal count for nominating yourself is at least 2000 edits and 3 months experiance. I suggest you withdraw this and wait until then. BuickCenturyDriver (Honk, odometer) 04:42, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Oppose
- Oppose, a total of 624 edits with 100 mainspace and 97 in WP simply isn't enough experience. Your 'outstanding articles' are uncategorised, unreferenced and not that remarkable I'm afraid. The Rambling Man 22:57, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose-Per Rambling Man and the fact that your last RFA was less than a month ago. Keep working, and thanks for the message you gave me today. --TeckWiz ParlateContribs@ 23:03, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose I am afraid I must oppose. The lack of edit count was a huge impact for me. Administrators should be seasoned contributors to wikipedia, and although your enthusiasm for helping out is greatly appreciated, it is not enough to merit a promotion. Spend more time editing articles (give your consensus at WP:AFD or help out with the backlog of [unassessed articles] to start building a better credential of edits. --Ozgod 23:35, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose Try getting more edits in general as well as Wikipedia edits and XfD edits and try back again later. Darthgriz98 23:57, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose: I know that an edit count should not be a pretense to a user's quality of contributions, but to be familiar with all the policies and be a seasoned editor, I strongly suggest gaining at least 2000 edits and wait at least 3 months before the next RfA (the latter per Wikipedia etiquette). ~Steptrip 02:59, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose - might be best to withdrawal at this point. BJTalk 04:18, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- The typical not enough exp. oppose.--Wizardman 05:10, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Neutral
- Neutral. Oppose per The Rambling Man and support him against vandalism in Wikipedia.--Paukrus 00:42, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
