[edit] Earthbendingmaster
FINAL (1/2/1); withdrawn by candidate[1], closed 22:15, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Earthbendingmaster (talk · contribs) - I know I may seem inexperienced, and was a beginner only last month, (I actually joined around one year ago, but did not make hardly any edits until Last month) and had a rough beginning with page moves, but I learn very fast, and those mistakes will never happen again. With the edit conflict I had when starting, I know now that if someone disagreed with me, I should have discussed the edits on the talk page first to avoid getting into conflicts in the first place. I only want the tools to help the encyclopedia and other users do things that require administrative tools. Earthbendingmaster 21:14, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A: Initially none – If my Rfa is successful, I intend to throughly go over the new administrator school, and make sure I know where and when to use the tools, which should be used with great care. After that, I would like to help users in things they cannot do without administrator tools, such as providing copies of deleted articles, etc. I would also like to help with administrator intervention against vandalism and page protection.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: Probably fighting vandalism, while I have not made any major improvements to articles, unless you would count reverting page blanking, administrators do a lot of janitorial work anyway, hence the mop.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: Yes, I have been in one conflict that I can think of, when I first started. It was about what to call the plot section of characters articles in the series Naruto, I kept putting plot overview and two other users kept putting part in the story, I was still beginning and now I know that when another user reverts mine, to discuss the changes on the talk page, to stop from getting into conflicts. I plan to deal with conflicts in the future by not getting into them in the first place, if another user disagrees with me on something, then I will not change it, unless it is something major, which I will go to the talk page first and let consensus decide. Other users have never caused me stress, even in that before mentioned conflict, I always kept my cool, and always plan to.

[edit] Support
- Support - no reason not to trust the user with tools, no signs of incivility or abuse. User:Secret is however correct in that commenters/voters often look for a few months more experience before supporting a candidate at RfA; still, do not let any opposition dampen your enthusiasm for Wikipedia, and enjoy editing! EJF (talk) 21:54, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Oppose
- Oppose you need three+ months of experience to even have a chance of passing an RFA, please withdraw. Secret account 21:38, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose(Nom has 1,000 edits over 1 year.((Oh, cracky. of which 1000 were this month))) I'm afraid you do not yet possess sufficient knowledge to become an admin. It would be better to learn the ropes before submitting an RfA.

- Please read WP:Admin
- Please read the admin reading list. Pleae review dispute resolution.
- Generally, I find it takes at least 3,000 edits in a variety of areas to learn policy and guidelines well enough to attempt adminship. You will need to show the ability to contribute a significant number of edits to build the encyclopedia. You will also do well to gain experience in such areas as WP:AIV, WP:AFD, WP:CSD. See User:Dlohcierekim/standards for a somewhat confusing overview of RfA and my support ratioanle. Dlohcierekim 21:57, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Neutral
- Neutral. No reason to suggest you might mis-use the tools, but after less than a month it's likely that there are aspects of policy which you're not yet familiar with, due to sheer inexperience and no fault of your own. You need to find your feet as an editor before running for adminship – don't feel that you need it in order to be a better contributor. haz (talk) 22:12, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
