[edit] Driveus
Final (5/8/1); Ended 21:40, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
Bob 2.0 (talk · contribs) - YOUR DESCRIPTION OF THE USER Driveus 23:10, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here:
I accept a nomination for being a admin.Driveus
- Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What sysop chores do you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Administrative backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
- A: Anything toon or boat related.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any with which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A: Starting the wikiprojects for TUGS and Cartoon Network. This is because they showed people (users) how hard working I am.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: No, I have never been through stress. I never hold grudges or anytype of revenge against anyone.
- General comments
- See Bob 2.0's edit summary usage with mathbot's tool. For the edit count, see the talk page.
- I will not abuse my power but I shall make sure that certain users use their power correctly. And revert vandalism
Please keep criticism constructive and polite.

Support
- I Bob 2.0 support you for the position because I nominated you in the first place.
- I support you for being awesome to me. Someport (talk · contribs)
- I suuport you myself User:5cran9 because you created the wikiproject for my favorite tv show TUGS
- Note: This is the user's fourth edit. bibliomaniac15 21:13, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- I, Black Kat support Driveus being given a position as an administrator due to his diligent work with Cartoon Network pages and for starting the CN team.
- I, T-borg, support Driveus, as he seems to be a very promissing candidate and I'm sure he'll use his powers wisely.
Oppose
- Um... what? Something is seriously wrong here. Anyway, less than a month is far too little time for adminship. -Amarkov moo! 20:48, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Just been ploughing through it all, its not entirely clear who I'm opposing, the support votes have been added 2 days before this Rfa went live, anyway, 1 month is not enough time here, you need to try and make far more edits (at least 2000 usually) and be here a bit longer. Ryanpostlethwaite contribs/talk 20:53, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose per above. Malformed RFA. I don't see why you need admin tools. You should make use of the edit summary more often. Squirepants101 21:00, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose I agree with Armarkov. Something is definately wrong. I notice that User:Bob 2.0 appears to have his edits listed instead of Driveus. Also, Bob 2.0's userpage states that he has left Wikipedia to get a new username. Also, all of the Support vote having I before them really makes me wonder. Someone really needs to figure out what is going on here. Captain panda In vino veritas 21:05, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- I have found more concerns. No description of the user in the nom. Very, very short answers. No timestamp on any of the support votes. A neutral vote with no name that appears to only praise this user. This is getting weird... Captain panda In vino veritas 21:08, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Has anyone noticed how similar Bob 2.0, Driveus, Someport, and 5cran9's contributions are? These users all like to edit TUGS. I've also found a user named Tugsfan312 who was welcomed by one of these users. Is this just a coincidence and should a checkuser be done on them? Squirepants101 21:19, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

- Oppose. Severly malformed RFA. What's with the silly "I, USERNAME, support..." thing? Just because they created a Wikiproject for your favorite show or the user was nice to you, that's not really enough to support. bibliomaniac15 21:06, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose per above. VegaDark 21:07, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose. Definitely something strange going on here, I'm sure it will be ended shortly per WP:SNOW. --Seattle Skier (talk) 21:14, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose and suggest withdrawal No real need for the tools, extremely weak answers to questions, no WP:XFD participation - completely malformed RfA.Tellyaddict 21:19, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose Malformed. Can someone just WP:SNOW this please? --After Midnight 0001 21:27, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
Neutral
My discription of user:Driveus is that he is a reliable user who will look after any article carefully. Examples include when he started the WP TUGS or when he started the Wikipedia:WikiProject:Cartoon Network He even won the outstanding new user award and 3 other awards for his contributions. (Even though I don't get the oddball award). He is a hard worker and is probably working on new ways on protecting the TUGS articles. He had a good start and is great to date with about 5 or 6 friends on wikipedia. He is a great user whom I think is qualified for the job.
