[edit] Chad1m
Final (0/3/0) ended 04:32, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
Chad1m (talk · contribs) – I have been working with Wikipedia since 2004 and have been an official member since April of 2005. I feel that I have done a great deal of work visually and technically with Wikipedia and I feel that I would be able to contribute more if I was granted administrative status. I have been recently working more and more with vandals and trying to get them to quit, but I don't think they care as much knowing that I'm simply a normal user. I feel that my additions with pages and bad users to Wikipedia have helped make this place run much smoother and I would hope that would be able to go farther if I received adminship. I know I would definitely spend more effort her making things better. Regardless of vote, thank you for taking the time to view this matter. Chad1m 04:00, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

- Oppose I'm sorry but I would like to see more activity in your talk page. That shows that you are into Wikipedia and you establish connection with other users. Try to know the other users better and I'm pretty sure you'll make a great admin. -ScotchMB 04:08, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
- I'm also uncomfortable with the fact that you removed warnings from the orphanbot about the pictures you uploaded. -ScotchMB 04:15, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose Don't take this too personally, but of your 16 WP space edits, only about 8 are not from this RfA. I'd suggest a withdrawal to avoid pile on oppose. Alphachimp talk 04:17, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

- Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
- A: First of all, I would actively participate in chores that I would be the most familiar with. I would definitely look at the rest of the projects and see if there was anything that I would be able to contribute to. If not, I would try to learn a little bit more about the subject and work from there. I'm currently trying to familiarize myself with the technical aspects of Wikipedia and as I learn more, I would most definitely help in that area. The biggest thing I would deal with would be handling vandalism and trying to make vandals realize the error of their ways.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A: My biggest one would definitely be PlayMania. The majority of the content in that article was "hand-written" by myself and it shows how dedicated I am to Wikipedia and the subjects I work with here. Some may trivialize some of the areas of articles I work on, but I have a great deal of knowledge with those. I feel that the PlayMania article really epitomizes that.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: Honestly, I cannot remember ever participating in an editing war. If in the future that does occur, I would contact the user on their talk page or discuss it on the article's talk page. I would try to make a compromise with them, saying "If you leave this on there, then I won't take away that" or something like that. I would keep a level-head and I would try to some sort of middle ground.
