[edit] CLW

final (30/0/0) ending 12:03 Wednesday 14 December 2005

CLW (talk · contribs) – CLW is a first rate user and editor - he is always on patrol and would make agreat Admin' - let's give him him his own mop and bucket! Kate's tool is broken at the moment - so can't report on his contributions numbers.:) Brookie: A collector of little round things 19:13, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here:

I do indeed accept. I've only been around since July of this year, but according to Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by number of edits I'd made 8,000 main namespace edits last time the list was updated. (Not, of course, wishing to encourage editcountitis, and please note that many of these are minor edits...) Even if I'm not successful in being nominated for adminship, any feedback received via this process will be valuable. CLW 19:56, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

Yes indeed, 'tis the same me. I've been quiet on the Snicket front for a few weeks - I'd been holding off until I'd read The Penultimate Peril for fear of spoilers, but I finally read it this weekend and will no doubt be appearing at a watchlist near you more frequently once again! • Interiot's tool, available here, is a reasonable approximation of Kate's tool for use when Kate's is down.--Alhutch 21:46, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
A. I've been frustrated by backlogs in the past - If I'm granted adminship, I'll be able to help with backlogs such as deletions. Although it doesn't take adminship to fight vandalism, being able to roll back vandalism will make things faster.
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. Please see my userpage for details of articles I've started - I'm particularly pleased with the articles I've translated from other Wikipediæ, as this helps to address the current English Wikipedia inbalance towards subjects relating to the English-speaking world.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A. I've been picked up on decisions I've made in the past (see my talk page) and have taken onboard the comments left by other users. I've dealt with any such "conflicts" constructively, eliciting replies from other parties such as "Tnx for the constructive response. I know it's hard to get every policy clear, and i guess that means we have to keep listening to each other. In fact, tnx for putting me in a position to put that into words again, by seeing it gracefully done."
I've also averted potential conflict. You'll see from my talk page that my first contact from Brookie was his concerns that I might have been stalking him. Our ongoing contact and rapport has led to this nomination!
